Ty08 how did the ref pick out 2 clonoe players?? please tell me ur not serious!!! The 1st player was handy enough picked out because he was a sub wearing a tracksuit top that should never been on the field of play never mind striking any moy players. (And the ref only give him a yellow card). Again the second Clonoe player was handy enough spotted again. NUMBER -- (the admin wont let me put up his name) who started the incident when he stood on the inside of Philly jordans leg when he was on the ground. (Again the ref only showed a yellow card, however it was his second offense) Clonoe targeted moys county players the whole game. I know clonoe people who will tell u the same Tyrone Gaa (None) - Posts: 403 - 06/04/2009 15:32:43 249603 Link 0 |
think yesterday's game was a good match between two good sides and alot of the decisions resulted in things boiling over now and again but for you to suggest that Clonoe benefited in any way from ANY decisions is hilarious to say the least and to then say County players were targetted by Clonoe is just plain daft Rahilly_Man (Tyrone) - Posts: 361 - 06/04/2009 16:37:00 249715 Link 0 |
I hve to agree with that 100% the first too players booked were the 2 Cavanagh's. Colms looked bad but accidential the player was too small and hit him in the face. Sean was booked for something in my opinion didnt even deserve a black book. Phillp Jordan was the main victim in yesterdays match and was a disgrace the lack of respect towards the county players which they will al be cheering come August or even May when they play against armagh shane_mck (Tyrone) - Posts: 159 - 06/04/2009 16:58:13 249770 Link 0 |
u r bein totally biased, how did the row start? honestly? One of them provoked doris as he knew his temper would boil over, how come ur not mentioning how shane o'hagan was tackled by a county player that was already booked? referee dropped his yellow cards at that time i suppose?? did the moy sit back and take eveey punch fired at them>>>thats what im trying to put across, not even a moy man booked!!! Maybe these guys need to show respect to other players they are not the only players on the pitch. istolethegiro (Tyrone) - Posts: 73 - 06/04/2009 17:15:33 249814 Link 0 |

I was disappointed with the treatment Clonoe dished out to Philip Jordan, a couple of nasty incidents. Mellon pulled Doris away from Jordan and seemed to be giving him a fair mouthful, I would say young Doris is probably lucky that Mellon knows him from the County scene earlier in the year! I don't think that any of the other county players were particularly singled out, although Sean Cavanagh was very unhappy with the player who got the second yellow during the scuffle (I didn't see what happened). It was a pity that there was the niggle as it was one of the best hard hitting games you could hope to see. I'm not for one second saying that Moy were completely innocent throughout the match, Colm Cavanagh was probably lucky that a high tackle didn't earn him a red card. Although I think it was a combination of his size and cluminess that caused the foul. Tyrone football needs to take a serious look at itself though. How long will referees continue to handle matches when they are intimidated to the point where they are being physically prevented from leaving the pitch? Clubs need to get a grip of their supporters. MB1 (Tyrone) - Posts: 360 - 06/04/2009 19:32:25 250018 Link 0 |
I have no problem in doris getting sent off i have a problem with phillip jordan did he think for one minute that his behaviour would not trigger some one to re-act??? I am not saying we (clonoe) were totally innocent yesterday but the way the moy county player(excluding ryan mellon) re-acted when in particular a free was gave against them was unreal arms up in the air mouthing at referee who took no action for this behaviour would frustrate anybody to breaking point which happened yesterday.Surely all players deserve the same treatment what is wrong is wrong no matter who you play for. These players do not have to behave like this they are fantastic footballers time and time again this will continue to happen untill the playing field is level for all players. istolethegiro (Tyrone) - Posts: 73 - 06/04/2009 20:49:39 250121 Link 0 |
MB1 "I would say young Doris is probably lucky that Mellon knows him from the County scene earlier in the year" our you bein serious!! colly doris would of taken him to the cleaners if he was starting something! also phillip jordan started the fight and wasnt even looked at by sludden it doesnt matter if your a tyrone seniors or a reserve for a grade 3 team every one should be treated the same! myveiw (Tyrone) - Posts: 69 - 06/04/2009 21:02:27 250132 Link 0 |
Well cant say about the game yestarday because i was not there . But i have seen county players been target by other players in club games and then seen supporters shouting abuse at the same county players and it is a disgrace because there out supporting them in september or in the championship . So poeple that shout abuse at there own county men you should be ashamed of your selfs and are not true tyrone supporters . Do not be two faced you support them or not . I would admit that Colm Cavanagh does overreact to being fouled although all the County players seem to be singled out for persistent fouling which I am sure you can guess is extremely frustrating. He is still young and immature so hopefully will grow out of it. I would love to see the county players being treated the same as everyone else. Being a County player seems to give everyone a licence to make sly hits on you and gives the oppostion supporter soemeone to vent their fury/abuse upon. I would go to the majority of club games and you would not believe the levels of abuse the County players have to put up with. Philip Jordan was coming off the field yesterday black and blue and a spectator still felt the need to give him a dig as he was going off. We would settle for our County players getting treated with the same respect as every other player going out onto the pitch, unfortunately it does not happen. My veiw. are you joking me? Ryan Mellon is one of the hardest men in tyrone football, i know you might not take this seriously but trust me this man can box, and if he really wanted to he would have had both the dorris's ate in one. tyronefan22 (Tyrone) - Posts: 183 - 06/04/2009 22:00:53 250189 Link 0 |
As i say we were not completly innocent of yesterdays events but speaking to some of our players last night about jordans behaviour they said his language and attitude towards them and the referee was unreal philly i think may have a problem with us last time we played moy two years ago at clonoe at the end of the game he walked of the field refusing to shake any off our players hands i tell you now in 21 or 22 years that kevin mccabe played for our club and sometimes he was abused physically and verbally to the extreme he never once re-acted in this way infact the man picked up only one booking in his whole career i am not condoning what happened jordan yesterday but he will get respect when he shows respect to others around him again i say he is a fantastic player and as a player of his stature he should rise above this type of thing. istolethegiro (Tyrone) - Posts: 73 - 06/04/2009 22:23:40 250219 Link 0 |
hold on a minute there dellboy if a county player shows no respect to opposing players or indeed the referee throughout a club game is that to be tolerated by supporters. no you wernt there but i was & i have to say i was not impressed by the behaviour of one player in partiuclar, but when he pulls on a Tyrone jersey thats totally different of course i'l support him... but respect him thats different altogether respect has to be earned both ways! so you're allowed to support your team but not allowed to shout at county players when they're playing for their clubs!!! doesn't make sense Rahilly_Man (Tyrone) - Posts: 361 - 06/04/2009 23:30:28 250299 Link 0 |

last thing i will say on this matter is this will happen every sunday moy play with there county men(on sundays performance exclude ryan mellon from this) if they continue to behave with complete lack of respect for those around them i encourage them to play away and rise above all this. Use other county players i.e enda mcginley mcmahon bros penrose and countless others who have played against clonoe(and many other clubs) on many occassions and have been treated with the same respect as they have treated the other teams and quite rightly so. There will always be an eliment of support in every club that even includes moy that will target county players when they make an odd mistake or miss a free kick this is going on for years and will continue for years to come.Club football is more intense now than ever with paid managers and the will to win by every club in the county and the game gets harder to referee by the year as it has speeded up so much. Mickey Harte might take a look a jordan at trainning last night or tonight and ban county players from playing for there club. Every body has the right to support tyrone but for a lot of supporters even more so for a club like clonoe whom even though are county champions we are deemed to have no one fit to make the best 30 of a panel in tyrone which is fair enough harte is the boss who are we to argue the club will always come first for these people and tyrone second that is the way it is for me anyway. Ask dromore carrickmore rock pomeroy or indeed MOST hardened grass roots supporters in any county club comes first county second full stop. Good luck to moy the rest of the season hatchet is buried. istolethegiro (Tyrone) - Posts: 73 - 07/04/2009 10:13:38 250493 Link 0 |
