John Boss, before Boylan took over Meath they were well down there with the likes of Kildare, laois ect. He made a team out of them. Royal_Girl2k9 (Meath) - Posts: 2107 - 07/04/2009 12:55:45 250700 Link 0 |

Find it strange that nobody has mentioned Billy Morgan. Not saying he was the very best but he achieved more than a lot of managers mentioned here. 9 Munster titles in 16 attempts means he outgunned Kerry in those years, no mean feat. 5 All-Ireland final appearances, 2 wins. Plus brought Nemo to 3 All-Ireland finals in a row, winning on the 3rd attempt. Andy_Capp (Westmeath) - Posts: 283 - 07/04/2009 14:18:29 250821 Link 0 |

Peter McDermott, Barney Carr, Jimmy Ward (never lost a game managing Antrim) and the one and only Brian McEniff who was involved in ALL of Donegal's Ulster wins and their all Ireland. Not to mention 176 Railway Cup wins with Ulster. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 07/04/2009 22:32:22 251442 Link 0 |

real louth fan you cant argue that it was a much more copetitive ennvirement the 70s and 80s were just as competetive realitive to the day in question it may seem more competitive now because players are so fit but is it really ? jailhouse.usa (Galway) - Posts: 1155 - 08/04/2009 00:33:36 251587 Link 0 |
