Cillnaile - I agree wholeheartedly, it is important to provide football for all from a young age. Teemore have recently won awards, through an Irish News led scheme, for their underage development. So you are incorrect on that count.
Congratulations on your fundraising initiatives (which we also partake in) however you have also received payments from the Sports Council, amongst others, to aid this development. So you are incorrect on that count also.

The online encyclopedia, Wikipedia states that a Hillbilly is a term used in referring to people who dwell in rural, mountainous areas. It defines a Hill-Billie as "a free an unrestricted citizen, who lives in the hills and has no means to speak of, dresses as he can, talks as he pleases, drinks whiskey when he gets it, and fires off his revolver as the fancy takes him."

The use of the term is used in defining a region which has increasingly been bypassed by technological and social changes that have taken place in the rest of the country. The hillbillies retained its frontier character, and the people themselves came to be seen as backward, quick to violence, and inbred in their isolation and they have been associated with widespread mountain feuding in the past. As such as the hillbilly has been stereotyped as of the feuding type.

Therein in lies the problem on their visit to Donagh on Sunday.

Ha a skea man and a shamtown man making fun of teemore because of fighting? You having a laugh? you would do well to walk through either town on a saturday night without getting attacked. No coincidence that both teams find themselves stuck in division two, sort your own club out first before having a go at others.

Manach and Jimmy08 I'm of the view that you Teemore hillbillies have made a mountain out of a molehill over Sunday's incident at Donagh. From what I hear it was more like handbags at ten paces.
I still say that the hillbillies' problem is that they were beaten by a bottom of the league team and couldn't stomach it. End of.

Whether we like him or hate him, shamgael's contributions make for compulsive readng. The latest explains what a hillbilly is and the similaraties to Teemore and amusingly links it to the fued at Donagh where the Teemore ones engaged in a confrontation with the natives.
On the otherhand threads opened by other posters like a multiple name Coa man are dull and attracts little or no response.
Shamgael please note that I am NOT a supporter of you generally speaking.

Jimmy hillbilly, you lot arrived looking for trouble and your verbal abuse was enough to antagonise a saint. Furthermore, the incident at the end was no more than a deterrent push until your player struck a bystander. This is the first time I ever been on here and I did so to set the record straight to counter what is being put about by you hill-billies.

its all rather amusing. i think teemore have lost the plot and credibility and have come up badly in this matter compared with the more credible st pats club who appear to much more respected as a club.

Obviously when there are rumours there will be widespread speculation. If there is any truth to these rumours doing the rounds then I feel that the county board needs to act fast to clarify the situation.

Fermanagh team to get mighty boost

The breaking news is that the Fermanagh team is to see the return of Barry Owens, Ciaran O'Reilly and Ryan McCluskey back into his squad ahead of the Ulster SFC preliminary round clash with Down.

This comes as a welcome boost to Fermanagh who are still reeling from their demotion to Division 3 of the NFL. Former All-Star full back Owens and O'Reilly are both on the way back from long-term injuries, while McCluskey will rejoin the squad once his soccer commitments are at an end.

PS. Kinawley geal wise up!

cillnaile. County: Fermanagh Posts: 81 The situation with Teemore is that they are peddling backwards for the last two years or so and cannot see where they are going and will soon drop off into div 2. ---------- Teemore peddling backwards?? How come the teemore 3rd team (which comprises of everyone outside the 1st 26) drew with your lots reserve team (which comprises of everyone outside your first 13) in your own back yard. You lot are a pethetic crowd and yesterdays result shows that it is not the teemore club that is peddling backwards but your own shabby club. As for the seniors your club is miles behind the pedigre of teemore and if teemore ever found themselves falling into division 2 it would be so easy to bounce back to division 1 when the opposition is as bad as yous and irvinestown
