Has recent results, performances and sendings off signalled an end to utds possible quadruple?? What has went wrong? Can Fergie pull it out of the fire once again? Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 27/03/2009 15:45:32 241399 Link 0 |
Lets hope so, although that was a great draw for them in the Champions league... it just means that Liverpool have to play a further two big games against Chelsea.. jimbodub (Dublin) - Posts: 20763 - 27/03/2009 16:04:05 241433 Link 0 |
I doubt it has imploded,of course they're not going to have a smooth run of things in all competitions!!I think they will beat Portsmouth which is their game in hand and hopefull thy will go on and win the Champs League.I think Barca are the only team good enough to beat United in Europe,I know Liverpool and Fulham prove me wrong! dubinlaois (Dublin) - Posts: 304 - 27/03/2009 16:12:55 241453 Link 0 |
I feel utd will still won the league and champions league still. Dellboypolecat (Tyrone) - Posts: 15069 - 27/03/2009 18:06:19 241610 Link 0 |

Man United will finish easily in the top four which qualifies a team for the big one, the Champions league. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 27/03/2009 18:55:56 241642 Link 0 |
Victory against Aston Villa will be vital. It won't be easy with no Vidic,Rooney or Scholes. I still think Liverpool lack quality up front. If Gerrard or Torres were to get injured or suspended it would be game over for them. Clash-of-da-ash (Galway) - Posts: 927 - 27/03/2009 19:36:07 241673 Link 0 |
Well I hope it has, but I feel Utd will still be Champions come the end of the season. Still great to see the pool give them a hiding in Old Trafford. PJ (None) - Posts: 2288 - 27/03/2009 19:57:19 241695 Link 0 |
United may not be the best TEAM in England, 11 players, but have the biggest squad. Last year Man City beat them twice, but City have no chance of maintaining that for 38 games. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 27/03/2009 21:33:51 241784 Link 0 |
Can't see United not winning the League. They may lose 2 more games in the run in but Liverpool and Chelsea will drop points as well. Cup Football is different in FA Cup anyone can win in a straight one to one. In Champions League look to have the softest tie in quarters, after that who knows, personally I hope Barca win it. corkcelt (Cork) - Posts: 4388 - 28/03/2009 13:01:19 242084 Link 0 |
i hope it has. although i hate them with a passion i would still prefer to see them win the premiership before those scumbag scousers zidane (Galway) - Posts: 272 - 30/03/2009 10:49:51 243091 Link 0 |
However the richest/best resourced/biggest squad team usually wins the league which is why United have won 68% of them. Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12439 - 30/03/2009 14:49:52 243452 Link 0 |
Patrique ur way off the mark. Utd are top of the league hence they are the best team in the league. They also have the best defence, best attack and a midfield as good as any other... Im not even a utd fan but I can easily admit this... What exactly are you basing ur argument on? They will win at least 3 of the 4 cups this year TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 30/03/2009 14:57:05 243465 Link 0 |
City winning somethiong, don't make me laugh, that would ruin everything. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 30/03/2009 22:49:01 244052 Link 0 |
patrique if Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are the best in the league then they should be winning the league, winning a one off game isnt the measure of a team... Circumstances at that time can have an affect on the result, but the true best team are the ones who win the league outright... After all it s a LEAGUE competition... No patrique it wasnt a draw, utd won on penalties, thats why they are the holders... TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 01/04/2009 11:08:03 245206 Link 0 |
