Mid Monagahn Man,

Aisake O hAiplin is 6ft 7, Setanta O HAilpin i 6ft 6 and Sean Og is 6ft 2, they have another brother Teu not sure what height he is,

But Cork are a big side anyway Michael Cussen 6ft 5, Pearse o Neil is 6ft 5, Nicholas Murphy is 6ft 4, most of their players are 6ft or just over bar a few.

Aisake was height of nonsense in Scotstown, maybe he's still young/developing. Knew the father was from about Roslea, didn't know he played with Scotstown, who have a big enough pick without going into Fermanagh.

Much improved performance on the previous 2 outings. Like monman123 says Cork were very poor and dropped the heads very early but still the Monaghan workrate was doubled from the Meath game and that laid the platform for the perfomance and result. It was interesting to see how the little shot of confidence they got when Tommy got the first goal spread through the team and suddenly it was all guns blazing and they hit 1-5 without reply. Goals are so important to a teams confidence. Fair play to Tommy he took it beautifully. Also though McGuigan did really well won some dirty ball and kicked a beautiful point, he needs to start against Laois. Massive perfomances too by McQuaid and Hughes, they're some attacking half back line. Jap was excellent and Rory did well in half forward line.

It will be very interesting next week to see if they can continue in the same vein. I'd expect Armagh to beat Cork if they play like that again and when you think there were 528 at their last home game, home advantage can't count for much. So hopefully a win over Laois will get us promoted and a few lovely fixtures for next year among the real big boys.

Also agree with seanie08 that Derry looked a bit like their old selves against Tyrone with only the Bradleys showing much up frnt but its only one game and they'll definitely be a better team this year than last and we'd still be underdogs for sure. Its very worrying that McManus was taken off so soon in the last 2 games, his confidence must be fairly low, we're gonna need him on top foprm if we're going to get anywhere this year.

There is a huge promotion to get a crowd to Pairc ui Chaoimh next Sunday. Under age clubs are being encouraged to come and they will be entered in a draw. Prizes include coaching with the Cork panel , training gear etc. Also they gave away loads of tickets on the radio yesterday for the match.
Also Cork beat Dublin in a challenge at the weekend and Graham Canty and John Miskella are back playing again. James Masters was meant to have been awsome against Dublin.

That's good to hear. Games promotion is something that is really lacking in the GAA. Crowds are just expected to turn out with no promotion. Attendances would be much larger if there was proper promotion and advertisement of games and that goes for the championship as well.
