Watched macs and casements last nite. who ever is in charge of casements would want to learn them how to tackle. they must of been trying to help four masters out for next week. who was the midfielder, looks a good rugby player some of the tackles he put in. get hoey back and learn how to play proper football

As for learning to play proper football... that made me giggle.

MACs v Casements

What was the score in the game?

I've heard FMs have been flying the past 4-5 weeks in training and will prove it be really fit if anything come next sunday. Is there any truth the macs management team have split up and some boys have walked from the panel? This would surely tip the balance in favour of FMs, marc ryan, cuffy, harkins and the langfords will all need big big games but with recent devlopments I could see it happening.

Masters by 2 on final day.

mitchells, you mustn`t know to much about football if you think Bennett is past in it,best footballer in the county over the last 15 years. Lots of talk about EGB midfield having him out of it in first round of c`ship, they never got a sniff & as regards Cunningham & Massey in the semi-final they never won a single ball.As regards your comments about Troope being "a headless chicken" you are way off the mark, maybe a bit of jealousy coming out in yourself since he decided to join a winning club.
Very talented footballer, playing much better football now fully fit.By far the best midfield pairing in the county.

Gael 2200,

You're slightly confused, it's your club that people are walking away from if rumours are to be believed.

Got an bit of feedback from the FMs camp with regards macs v casements friday evening. The boys are a little confident to say the least MACs struggled badly against a weak junior casements side, MACs were all at sea and found the basic skills hard to master. The thing that really pleased the FMs guys was the fact this was probably MACs best hand - should be interesting come this sunday.

In my opinion, and I really don't want this to be correct, I think Mac's will beat Masters. I think Masters' winning will be good for the game, and I think they have consistently shown themselves to be a better team than SM's but they are lacking that overall presence from the backs to the fronts. I think Sean Mc's are a good footballing side, don't get me wrong, but it would be better for the county's overall progression if the stranglehold ended.

Indeed, if one thing can be taken from next year I hope the county team can have training basis - or at least a widely held trial- all around the county rather than just in Birmingham. Fine have the matches there, but in a county where a significant number of players have to travel for over an hour (in Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham and Wolves) to get to the ground to train is there no better alternative?

Anyway good luck to both teams this weekend, although I have my underdog hat on.

FM will be completely outclassed this upcoming sunday, Macs are superior in all positions and as history has proven in this county, that on championship Sunday Macs will be a different prospect. Doubt Macs will go further than warwickshire but all the best to them anyway. Seems like FM have over hyped themselves but this is the business end of the season and as a team have no experience when compared to Macs and the big occasion but we will see.

good luck to both teams on sunday, at least they had preperation games over the weekend, while barnabus and john michells sat sucking their thumbs
with no games. in michells case they were down to play brendans on friday night and marys on sun at pnh.unfortunatly neither team fielded.

Moonshine/Hagan, Theres know disputing hayden was in america but did he play while he was there that is the question
as for the county board turning a blind eye thats usually the case unless it suits them.
PS
I hear saturdays blitz at pnh was a big let down, another example of poor organization.

Hayden was over in america but didnt play for any club so there you go everyone. Granted the county board are useless in doing anything for gaelic in warwickshire including the blitz at the weekend. I dare say the opposition must quaking at the fact the haydens are playing.

after seeing both games casements had over lat weekend againist both championship final teams i feel that it will be a closely contested game MACS were very poor friday night and were arguinh with each other after about 10 minutes. FM's were a very fit side that come very strong after half time they were 8 points dowwn and cam back to level the game up they never give up and they have what it takes to cause MAC's a problem. Macs looked pleased with themselves after the win. I hope that FM beat MACS becuase i want the cup to go to coventry as there are 3 side out of a city like coventry and only 5 out of birmingham which is nearly 3 times bigger. it is a poor show when EGB cannot even field. this championship deserves to go to a coventry team as they have been te better side over this lat season. Casements Vs Four masters Final 2010. my prediction.

its good to dream.
but on another note its even better to see croke park taking an interest in all u.k county finals, and deciding to have all co finals vidoed and a representative present. in a recent league game bewteen saint barnabus and saint brendans warwickshire there were question marks over three players playing in both the uk and in Ireland, along with a number of others from other teams in the uk, this is not just a warwickshire problem. this seems to have promped croke park to sort its house out once and for all.
my undersatnding of the new registration coming in next year is that it will be similiar to what exists in rugby
i.e a player must provive two signed passport photographs one goes to county register the other is maintained by the club in folder form and provided to reffree before each championship game.
I hope it works as we need to get rid of this tarnished image.
Is mise la mas

The obvious question is who were the 3 players that questions were asked about - who by - and why. I agree the system should be upgraded to include passport photo, and the videoing would work as a scare tactic. However, I just wonder how much any of this actually goes on anymore especially within Warwickshire?
