Final vote breakdown

Thanks to all 112 posters who made predictions, we will have results of the competition up straight after the final whistles blow on Sunday. However, if there is a tie which cannot be broken by count back, it will be Monday morning before we announce the overall winner so that there can be more than one person present when a draw takes place.

Out of interest, this is the way the voting went.

Donegal 9% - draw 8% - Tyrone 83%
Laois 46% - draw 8% - Fermanagh 46%
Derry 46% - draw 14% - Galway 40%
Kildare 61% - draw 14% - Armagh 25%
Offaly 20% - draw 12% - Cavan 68%
Roscommon 89% - draw 4% - Tipperary 7%

Update after Saturday's games

With two of the six games played, Donegal defeating Tyrone has been an upset as only 9% of posters predicted that while Laois' win has also been important as that game with Fermanagh was called 50:50 in prediction terms.

Only four people out of the 112 entrants (williewentwell, happydude, would_ya and Roger) have a 100% record so far, but it can all change tomorrow.

Result As expected we had a tie at the top of the league table with five people with 9 points (happydude, Roger, The Master, No.15, irlande). On a count back starting with the Division 3 games, Roger was the only person to predict wins for Offaly and Tipperary and is duly the winner - as per my post (dated 18/03/2009 21:38:13) regarding a tie. Here is the final league table and predictions made: On nine points Happydude - Donegal, Laois, Derry, Armagh, Offaly, Roscommon Roger - Donegal, Laois, Galway, Kildare, Offaly, Tipperary The Master - Tyrone, Laois, Draw, Armagh, Cavan, Roscommon No.15 - Draw, Laois, Draw, Armagh, Cavan, Roscommon irlande - Tyrone, Fermanagh, Draw, Armagh, Offaly, Roscommon On eight points Enrico - Donegal, Laois, Draw, Draw, Offaly, Roscommon Redhandman - Tyrone, Laois, Draw, Kildare, Offaly, Roscommon Derry_ledd - Donegal, Fermanagh, Galway, Armagh, Cavan, Tipperary A new prediction competition will begin next Wednesday. Thanks to all who took part and we welcome any comments or ideas. www.hoganstand.com

The results were:

Donegal 0-11, Tyrone 0-8 = 2pts for a correct prediction (I got it right)
Laois 0-23, Fermanagh 1-14 = 2pts for a correct prediction
Derry 0-13, Galway 2-7 = 4pts for a correct prediction (I got it right)
Kildare 1-10, Armagh 1-12 = 3pts for a correct prediction
Offaly 1-16, Cavan 0-13 = 2pts for a correct prediction (I got it right)
Roscommon 1-10, Tipperary 2-13 = 3pts for a correct prediction

I should be on 8pts shouldn't I? Or should I? Now i know theres a few people who obviously done better than I did but im just curious as to how they're being added up because i have an issue with those who supposedly ended up on 9 points:

On nine points
Happydude - Donegal, Laois, Derry, Armagh, Offaly, Roscommon should Happy not be on 8pts?
Roger - Donegal, Laois, Galway, Kildare, Offaly, Tipperary should Roger not be on 8pts?
The Master - Tyrone, Laois, Draw, Armagh, Cavan, Roscommon should The Master not be on 8pts?
No.15 - Draw, Laois, Draw, Armagh, Cavan, Roscommon should No.15 not be on on 8pts?
irlande - Tyrone, Fermanagh, Draw, Armagh, Offaly, Roscommon
should irlande not be on 7pts

No offence lads im just a tad confused as to how they're being added up?

Htaem update

Htaem, you are indeed on 8 points, we just left you out on the bottom of the second placed list. All the other scores are correct, 2 points for a home win, three for an away win and four for a draw.

If there are any other queries, please let us know and we will get back to everybody.

Guess I got lucky on going for Tipperary to win and fair play to hoganstand for running the competition. They have already been in touch with me and I look forward to the cheque arriving in the post!
