he will leave them. The lad wants to finish his last year of minor as he is playing with the fellas he grew up with. He will transfer next year. Sure he doesn't even want to play for their seniors. Was told this by a very good Gaels source.

All this talk here about transfers. W.T.F. This is not soccer. Players cant decide to transfer from one club to another unless they are living in the area, (parish). Is this not one of the unique things about our National game - It's about your club and parish. Maybe i'm wrong?

Would be a major loss to the gaels if Doherty left next year. Gaels are trying to build a team for the future, with some of the minors already breaking into the senior squad. Although results are not going their way this season they are playing some decent football at times, with the younger lads getting some valuable experience under their belts..

How would it be great to see Doherty move to a bigger club or any player for that matter unless they are physically moving house? Take your head out of your rear. This is not the english premier league its gaelic football and clubs are founded from parishes and communities unlike the likes of man utd/liverpool/chelsea who can cherry pick all the best young footballers from around the country. How is any club meant to develop if the players they have produced from underage can simply just move to another club even if they havn't changed address. Gaelic football is an amateur sport and until such times it changes to professional moving to a nearby/local bigger club is ridiculous.

Kind of difficult to see the top three not maintaining their unbeaten record this weekend. I think it will be a wile before any team starts pulling away at the top. Any perdictions on the top two now, a lot of teams mentioned before the start of the season seem to be lagging behind. Usual story every year.

He could always live in a mobile home in the area, bit like an ex-county player did in Down when he wanted to play with Burren...............

Yeah, it will happen in the not too distant future. Then himself and O'Hagan are gonna become joint managers.

Yeah I rem the day they 'took' him, he was crying, kicking and screaming cos he didn't want to move. It will be great when they eventually allow him to move back. One question Pu-Making, do you honestly think that he would still be playing gaelic football or would he have been lost to soccer if he hadda stayed with Naomh Colmcille?

I heard a rumour that the Gaels poached Jamie's father from moville just when he was about to play for them, they saw the potential in Jamie at an early age.

Some interesting fixtures again this weekend... think Milford, Moville, and lifford will claim victories, with a tight game between red hughs v convoy...
