Lifford Abu...... can't agree with your last comment. Was at the Gaels vrs Lifford senior game last year and it was played in good spirit, with both teams playing hard but fair football. Regarding the Red Hughs vrs Gaels this year, some of the challenges Red Hughs were putting in were nothing short of a mugging. Unfortunately, some of the gaels players reacted ( as the ref was refusing to blow his whistle ), and ended up getting two sent off. One for a foul, and one for striking.

Could believe that alright, there tackling was disgraceful down in Lifford also, did not seem to want to play football at all. Take it you were not at all matches, Gaels antics was shocking in the reserve game last year.

Lifford abu... was at reserve game last year, and yet again have to disagree with you. Match was going well till player from each team got sent off. The big incident game about when liffod brought on sub to play full forward, a player who had no intention to play football, and who later performed a knee high sliding tackle on a gaels player.... ( after ref had halted play ).. didn't help matters that the lifford player who had been sent off came onto pitch and then punched the gaels player who was getting up after the injury..after that it was a free for all... with both set of players getting involved...

The refereeing is bad, but what else do you expect, its div.4 and there arnt enough good ref's in Donegal. That add's to making the division so scrappy and hard to get out of. Three unbeaten teams I see, Convoy, Lifford and Moville. Muff dont seem to be going as strong as people thought they would. Whats happened with N.Ultan. Fair play has to be said for N.Colmcille, they were unlucky last week. Their new manager has brought a positive impact. I'd would say Milford will come back strong from last weeks defeat, they are a scrappy team, with plenty of fight, the defeat could be what they needed to level their heads after two big scoring victories.

Some interesting matches on this weekend. One that stands out is the local "derby" between Eunans and Gaels. Both teams are struggling at bottom of league. Should be an interesting game, many of the players know opposite team players... so bragging rights are up for grabs!

Looking forward to the local derby! Promises to be a battle but I only expect one outcome, St Eunans victory. Gaels forward play has been very poor this year bar Hunter and McGlynn. The others are not scoring enough nevermind shooting and this seems to be the downfall of the team.

Saint Eunan - Let your team do the talking on the football field. No match is won or lost until the ref blows the final whistle. As for the Gaels forward line - you should be more worried about your own teams' ability to take their scores with only two points from your last game rather than criticising any other teams for that matter.

Watched the game between eunans and gaels, and wouldn't say that eunans won it easy!. Was a tight match till goal went in for eunans.... seemed to knock the stuffing out of gaels. Eunans deserved to win in end, as they had more experienced players on the pitch,... some of which were playing senior reserve ( if not senior 1st team) football last year. Its a mystery how they haven't won more games this season with the players, attitude and gameplay they served up yesterday.

Dglman, couldn't tell you how many eunans were regraded. According to a few eunans lads this years reserve team was to consistmainly of under21 and minor players, while eunans third team would be made up of older reserve players of last year... so maybe a few would have to be regraded??? In response to another comment, I think there was at least 3 eunans lads who played for both teams last saturday ( with 1 or 2 others playing 1st game and coming on as sub in 2nd game ).

11 changes? Does that mean we will see a different side come championship? Heard they had a younger side than before especially in the midfield and forward line. They cant have a big panel if three boys had to play two games in a row.

Gaels were poor at the front again. I'll give it to them they were defending very well for the majority of the game apart from the goal which basically killed the game off in the end up. Their half backs won nearly everything their midfielders didn't and started many attacks quickly with the simple passes. Their forwards can't expect to get to the 13metre line everytime you want to take a score. We took our chances and it paid off which was the difference on the day. Gaels seniors should have watched their minors on Monday night on how to convert their chances.
