i feel players shouldnt be scrutinized because of there height and stature. enthusiastic, bright young players such as mikey harte and adam moore have, in the past, been subject to abusive language and a lack of trust, i feel this is truel unfair and its not the size of the lion its the size of the heart. please give me feedback on your feelings on players being dealt a "bad hand" because of there upbringing. what is your view on this lifford abu? heard an understrength lk gaels team were 16 points up at half time against the wind against the much hyped lifford revolution..can this be verified? Whimpymidget (Donegal) - Posts: 2 - 29/07/2009 01:27:23 367653 Link 0 |
I can confirm indeed gaels were 16 points ahead with a strong wind in the first half. As for your opinions on the lighter or smaller players I am afraid you are mistaken with Adam Moore he is fact possibly the biggest man on the team and that young man Mikey Harte he does indeed have the heart of a lion and more to the point I know for a fact he and some other younger players have been doing weights tactics (Donegal) - Posts: 2 - 30/07/2009 23:54:03 370822 Link 0 |
Any news on the date and venue for the 3rd game between gaels and lifford?... will be an interesting game. Gaels on a high after great victory last week and lifford no doubt geared up after bad result at weekend.... Bigjan (Donegal) - Posts: 76 - 31/07/2009 12:56:42 371295 Link 0 |
i heard lifford_ abu is coming out of retirement to lead a new era for the lifford men he has strong opinions on this board and he will back them up on the pitch if rumor in the lifford camp is true ..... but remember this is all only speculation i for one hope this rumors are wrong as i favour gaels the thought of lifford abu on a football pitch fills me with dread and wat hope have we mere mortals tactics (Donegal) - Posts: 2 - 01/08/2009 00:34:59 372515 Link 0 |

Is the Downings v Muff game this weekend ?? ruanua (Donegal) - Posts: 4966 - 12/08/2009 01:01:48 388948 Link 0 |
downings will win, was watchin them play against newtown last week there very good up front, they dont miss much, thier fowards will be out in front of the muff defence every time muff will struggle in final games JOE mc SOFTEE (Donegal) - Posts: 21 - 13/08/2009 16:51:55 390950 Link 0 |
Think downings will win at the weekend probably the favourites in most peoples eyes for the league but more importantly i think that muff are slipping away recently (2 losses in recent weeks) and could fall out of the promotion race if they are not careful. The North-West area includes Gweedore, St. Michaels, Termon, Fanad, Cloughaneely and Milford as well as Downings. donegal_insider (Donegal) - Posts: 584 - 15/08/2009 12:04:55 393126 Link 0 |
I never said they were one of the big four I said they cosider themselves to be thats probably why they are playing junior this year and could possibly win the league and championship as movile seem to be the only other average side there but as has been proven bar the odd exception, any team that gets promoted from this division nearly always fids themselves in a relegation battle the following year. I dont think downings or moville will be any different ACFL12345 (Donegal) - Posts: 28 - 15/08/2009 21:26:23 393428 Link 0 |
