Lame excuse on who's part Slick.
----------------------------------------------

Well the Muff me turned up for the game so don't think its an excuse on their part or don't think they'd be looking for an excuse considering they beat in the last game out. The point I am making is that there was no valid excuse to cancel the game, no point in teams calling of games because they played 2 weeks before especially when no/most teams don't want to be playing games after October. If we start calling of games because we played each others not so long ago I think it'll become a bit of a joke.

So its the county boards for calling it off.

Don't know who called it off but if it was the Co Board would there not be better communication between all involved. The Referee was there as well as the Muff team, I know they didn't have to go that far but I'm sure they could have been better occupied than waiting around for a team that wasn't going to turn up.

Well Moville were contacted, so I dont know how the County board forgot to notify Muff and the ref.

Oh well then I guess that makes it ok then, contact one party and let them know but sure its ok to waste the Ref's time and the Muff team.

Have to agree with you slick dosent sound like a valid excuse for calling off the game. Did Moville request the game off and if so cant see the county board accepting "because we played a few weeks ago". Bad form especially when Muff and Ref were not told.

So like i said a few messages ago, it was the co.boards fault for allowing it to be called off, and as you state for not letting the team and ref know.

Moville may have asked for it off, but i wouldnt see y they if they got beat narrowly by Muff 2 weeks before, the first thing id want to do is to play the team as soon as possible to prove that it was a mistake

Another bad result for the men from Red Hughs last weekend,..... 7 points up at half time and Gaels clawed it back to draw. Good result for the gaels, surely the first victory is just around the corner!

I would have expected the gaels to win. Did they not lose by a point with 2 men down last time they met?

The mug........, true, Gaels just lost away game by point.... so maybe last weekend was a bad result for the gaels then!..

Heard alls not too rosy in the Moville camp the past few weeks, convenient they got 2 games off in a row to get themselves sorted out, isn't it? As for calling off a game as they played same team 2 weeks previous - thats a farce. I know every team has right to request a free weekend but should it not be for a valid reason? especially when they ask for following week off for a Friday wedding?

A weekend they requested off at the beginning of the year. Dont know where your getting your info, unless P.J got married two days in a row.

The Downings pitch (if ye can call it that) was waterlogged. What happened the Moville Eunans game?

I actually thought their pitch was decent, was suprised to see their building a new one beside it. Moville requested the game off again, you must have been right InishGael, alls not rosy.
