athy where bad celbridge where worse..... athy tried to play the football and deserved to win but got 2 of the softest goals u will ever see..... few players worth mentioning like the athy lad above me did...... athy are depending on niall kelly for everything tony gibbons is defo not what athy people make him out to be.... saying that celbridge are shockly bad for a team that was to win handy

I would like to add to the congratulations. Athy have proved me wrong after two marvellous performances against Clane and Celbridge and now can consider themselves as the best team at this age group. Surely now no team can stop them from winning the double in September. Celbridge are obviously not up to the mark and Athy beat Clane twice so far this year.

Also I thought that David Hyland was awarded the man of the match award. Can anyone confirm this

HowyaHorse...were you watching the same match as me?Tony Gibbons was excellent and i was surprised he didnt get man of the match.It was a good game tho.Celbridge arn't the so called "unbeatable" team the town make them out to be with a preformance like that.

Not much talk bout other divisions.As far as i know Moorefield beat Towers in divisoin 2 and Nurney beat Ellistown in divison 4.Anyone confirm?

Yes i can confirm leinster2000,moorefield hung on to beat towers despite a last minute goal while nurney beat ellistown by roughly 19 pints.....young kevin conway got man of the match in the nurney and ellistown match playing for nurney...
