Compromise Rules Test not held in the Second City

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Just a few things;
Casement has the best playing surface in Ulster.If the money spent on Clones had been spent on Casement , then we would have a 40000 seater.
In South Belfast we have 2 clubs in Co. Down;Bredagh and Carryduff which streches up to almost Forestside. I hope when the Ulster concil reprt on the GAA in Belfast that they include these clubs.
The International rule should have come to Belfast.
Some of the arguments from our country friends are just plain crazy.

You made a point in an earlier post about "the butcher boy" being filmed in Clones. Well "You, me and Marley" was filmes in West Belfast. What does that tell you?

It tells me that the internationally famous Tumelty family live on Stockman's Lane, at the Andersonstown Road end, next door to Doctor McHugh's house. Throw in the McCambridge family and the McHughs and you have a large number of award winners from the Waterford festival of Light Opera.

So, the director probably got the whole cast from Stockman's Lane, which is why he filmed it there.

Oh, throw in Sting who is now acting, married one of the Tumeltys.

The Gaelic grounds is one of the biggest stadiums around and i have no doubt that there will be a full house for it. It should be a great spectacle and will do alot for Limerick

Stran, I hope this is a joke or have they no sense of humour in Toome? LOL

My car wasn't really stolen. I usually park beside "Millionaire's Row" on the Glen Road, or better still outside the Andersonstown Social Club. No-one is going to steal your car from there.

There were about 2,500 at the game, more or less a full stand with a few hundred in the seats below the stand.

oh, i knew all right - we in toome have a great sense of humour, maybe not just as sophisticated as the city folk!

eg: after the england -ireland soccer friendly at Lansdowne road back in the 90's, remember the game when the english hooligans went mad and the game had to be abandoned. A local lad pipes in the day after - 'one thing i don't understand is why the gards let all those english fellas into the stadium with the broken off planks of wood with nails in them - i mean, that was just asking for trouble.......'

I would never take my car anywhere near Casement Park its a Vauxhall! Built by robots, Driven by Humans, Stolen by Monkeys! p.s I remember one time Gerry Adams had his car taken from outside casement once turned up 1 hour later after car wash and valet.
