Denn have 3 games left ,id say were a good bet (Hull) to avoid the drop.Anybody offering odds.We have Killygarry,Crosserlough & Mullahorn left each needing points to qualify for semis or avoid the drop. Denn Man (Cavan) - Posts: 413 - 27/08/2009 12:05:37 406021 Link 0 |
You'd get great odds Denn Man but can't see it. Your relying on 4 other teams not reaching 10 points, 8 for a playoff and thats if Denn win all 3. Cucu's look in trouble with form, can see Lough pulling a great escape and league for lavey could depend alot on how they go in champo ballygowanwater (Cavan) - Posts: 207 - 27/08/2009 12:59:36 406106 Link 0 |

whats da story with da league now with gowna gone.....whos goin to semi finals and goin down? mogli (Cavan) - Posts: 41 - 12/10/2009 22:19:49 452446 Link 0 |
Couple of genuine questions. After this weekends results, it appears Denn are relegated (open to correction on that one). What does this say about the relevance of the league? How can a team that contests two senior championship finals in consecutive years get relegated to Div 2? Hoping for a geniune response from the likes of Dennman here. How is the league viewed in clubs around the county? Do you care about league performance/position? (Apologies if this topic has been discussed previously) Surely playing Div 2 football will hamper Denns chances of making it 3 in a row. u hit the nail on the head there denn man..... co board stopping games in mid summer is a joke....it'll probably be december when we get to the league final....playing through the summer dosent seem to harm tyrone.....might help the co prima donnas to be more competitive too...... well at least they might be match fit. macdaddy (Cavan) - Posts: 40 - 19/10/2009 13:12:30 458764 Link 0 |

Agree with comments. I'd also say that playing league matches this time of year is not fair on teams who find themselves in a relegation dog fight. A lot of teams would treat last few league matches like dead rubber, which you can't blame, but it sometimes leaves teams needing the points with an easier run in. ie. Ballinagh v killygarry yesterday... County board should get all league rounds out of the way by mid june, play champo and run of the league semis and final last wk's October. ballygowanwater (Cavan) - Posts: 207 - 19/10/2009 17:53:53 459222 Link 0 |

Any predictions for tomorrow evening's semi-final between Belturbet and Castlerahan? altares (Cavan) - Posts: 2 - 05/11/2009 10:56:03 475823 Link 0 |
I predict the weather will come to Belturbet aid and it will be called off allowing them another week to recover from Jayo's wedding! ballygowanwater (Cavan) - Posts: 207 - 05/11/2009 11:37:55 475876 Link 0 |
