re: lacken v castlerathan.. From a netural point of view it was a total discrace what went on during the game..a certain member of the lacken team was subjected to abuse from a certain member of the castlerathan club..both sets of players give up there time to come out an play the game an should not have to listen to abuse been shouted...besides this it was a great game of football with lacken been on top through out..from a spectators point of view there was defently no one on the castlerathan team worthy of a place on the county panel with a very poor performance from the SO called county players...mean while on the lacken side there were a few average performances but most of all i was very impressed with the way the 3 younger minor players steped up and performed very well....

"Sack" You are about as Netural as the US ! When all was said and done Lacken were the better team on the night, the ref was terrible (for both sides) and players that go out to break another players nose should be fit to take a bit of stick from the crowd. That's another notch on his belt.

Sack from a real neutral point of view, Lacken were the better team on the day and the 3 county players for Castlerahan were not particularly influential, albeit one of them only had ten mins on the field! Lacken had some very good displays on the evening from some of there younger players. Galligan was very good from place ball (both right&left) and maybe could do a job for Cavan in that department. Unfortunately the highlights of the match were overshadowed by the disgraceful actions of 1 or 2 Lacken players. As you said lads give up there time to play and should not get any form of abuse. Therefore a player going off with a broken nose from a blow to the face is unacceptable. If somebody is capable of breaking a guys nose i'm sure a bit of stick from the line won't hurt their feelings!! Perhaps if the ref had not let that incident and a number of subsequent incidents go unpunished, nothing else would have materialised.

yes, that so called player should have been given the line, but a castlerahan club member persisted in shouting abuse at him throughtout the game, i thought this was bad form.
How to beat castlerahan- be physical.

just copped gaels played castlerahan on sunday at 4. another sensible idea by the county board. fixing a club match for 4 out of 6 starting forwards for cavan against antrim, on sat eve. maybe thats why they all played so bad saving themselves for the club game

Lacken'[s 3 minors, no 10 Niall McKiernan, no 5 Declan Brady & no15 Stephen(jack)Brady, both of whom are minor next year. All the above played very well on wed evening, they stood up and were counted didnt hide

respect, your Technical skills would appear to be as limited as your ability to judge players ability. I could tell you how to cut and paste into a posting but I won't bother as the saying goes RTFM. to prove that it is possible .
