Sorry, but where did Gary McQuaid get this God like status for 'pulling the strings' and being Monaghan's best passer? He's a good player, no doubt, but for me his strengths are driving forward on the ball and reading the play to be in the right place at the right time. For me, it's hands down that Jap is our best ball player, with Manzy also showing great potential in this regard.

Ulster Man, have you never heard that teams are picked on form? How much game time has Gary McQuaid had in the last two seasons, 20/25%? How much has Jap, 80/85%? I rest my case. Lets talk about the lads are consistently starting and finishing games and less of this hypotehtical stuff..

Hanratty definitely has got talent, there is no doubt about that. It's channeling said talent that's the problem. He's a very fast attacker but overplays the ball alot and tends to run down blind alleys. When on form and playing direct football he's a great lad to have on the team.. It's about directing that energy though..

I definitely wouild not have Jap or Woods in the FF line and reckon Woods is there because, as stated prviously, it's our weakest line!

I think its pretty clear to everyone that Gary Mc Quaid will be starting when the big games come round. I do believe in picking teams on the form of players but i also believe in playing your key players that will come good when needed and given time. (last years game again kerry where Mc Quaid lifted his game after a few bad diplays) It is true he hasn't played much in the last few years but that was mainly due to injury and banty blooding other players. We all no who will be centre back come the big games.

I named that full forward line because we are in trouble there and i dont see anyone coming up wit any better ideas??

Gary Mc Quaid is a great footballer no doubt, but not a centre half back, great at going foward but forgets about the void thats left behind when an attack breaks down.As for Rory Woods i would love to see him left at full foward has not got the pace for the forty,theres not a full back in the country that could handle him great strenght on the ball and can also win an aerial duel.

young mc manus is a class act, i think banty should try a few more young fellas in de forwards! a younger player seems t b more adventurous... was young downey told t go back nta de defence??? how many forwards does banty wan n de backs?!?!?! jinxy is better playin as a 3rd midfielder...hes great a pickn up nd supplin!!!
