Anyone got a run down on the team and how they played. How can they have done so badly given some recently good displays in challenges and home advantage

Is Seanie Johnston on a break or is he injured ?

Couldn't make the game due to severe "Flu" and now feel like I'm on my deathbed after this result !

Are we making enough noise and encouragement from the stands like the day we beat Armagh !

Get behind the Blues !

everyone was poor, it is up there with the Waterford game in terms of performance. Tipp pretty much played us off the park. Seanie had one of those days when he didnt want to know, going around stamping his feet like a petulant schoolboy! Nice to see a few Monaghan and Longford lads on here lending their support, still as bitter as ever!

Good one Hugh!!!! Longford and Monaghan fans bitter of Cavan?!!!!LOL But fair play to Cavan, their a great strong team, holding the rest of Division 3 up!!!!!LOL

Now for the decent Cavan supporters I know, I do hope you get out of this rut. Two bad results against Longford B and Tipp it doesn't mean you have to throw in the towel. Now in saying that your next game is a must win game, I don't know who you have but you can't afford to drop another set of points. Anyways best of luck to you for the rest of the campaign. Oh and Hugh, grow up!!!!

I should grow up? I'm not the one posting on another county's message taking the ****. And yes Frank, you are bitter. It's been a long time since 1968...

Haha there's a good one a Cavan man calling other counties bitter!!!! Hey Hugh can you see us from down there?!!!! You're in serious trouble but you won't admit it. Have to agree with Frank you're a sad person who's still living in 199????? whatever!!! You were beat by an injury ravaged Longford team and a Tipp team that have got their one and only win!!! So I think it is you who is the bitter little man.

I pity poor Cavan having Hugh as a supporter. My sympathies to all my Cavan friends out there for having this fool taint the great name of Cavan.

Oddball, i ain't bitter but if someone comes on here giving lip about Cavan they are going to get lip back! Oh yes, Roscommon are perched really high above us correct me if i'm wrong but didn't you's get relegated with us last year and get dumped out of the qualifiers at the same stage! As for Sundayboy, i presume if you were referring to me as Hugo, what part of my comments were a disgrace? I don't need you to back me either ya plank!

The full back line do a good job of impersonating Laurel and Hardy, half backs aren't much better. as good a player as Flanagan is he has only shown it flashes for Cavan. You will never go anywhere with Galligan and Walsh in midfield, they just can't cut it at this level. Cullivan has done ok in fairness and things improved after Lyng came so the half forward line isnt that bad but in fairness if we were any good Eddie wouldn't be near the starting 15, as hard as he does try! When Jelly is good, he's unreal but when he has an off day, he really has one. Pierson has only shown his ability in flashes since he did his cruciate too. Giveny looks like he has potential but it will probably be another few years before he reaches it (if he does) The most worrying aspect of this is that i can't think of a whole load of players we can bring in to change things! As for the remaining fixtures: Down, Limerick, Roscommon, Offaly and Louth. Hard to see us picking up more than 4 or 5 points and to do even that requires a massive improvement!

Hold on one minute fellas, you can only beat what's in front of you! Tipp came through Div 4 because they are well organised and worked hard. Cavan by all accounts would do well to do like wise. It'll be a dogfight come relegation time anyway, with Offaly in the mix too.

Lads night is Darkest before the dawn. I really dont think Cavan will go down, Hopefully this defeat to (a well organised despite our criticisms) Tipp side will touch at the pride of the squad and they will dust themselves off and form some sort of shape to get a few results. Remember the teams we are playing are in Division 3 for a reason. At least Carr is calling it like it is, he admits the team isnt playing well and he's ready for the "dogfight" to avoid relegation. If the rumour regarding Mulvey and McKeever are true then he's bringing some much needed discipline to the side. Anyone calling for his dismissal this early is.. well.. an idiot.

Judging by cavan's displays against hurling counties, Waterford a few years ago and Tipperary (they did however beat Antrim last year), next year could be a mind field with Kilkenny and Clare waiting for them. Kilkenny must be confident of their first victory over Irish opposition for a number of years.

Look at it this way, most people would never have expected us starting this bad to the league so things cant really get an awful lot worse. The next game is a big game because Down are probably the best team in the division, and also a team we could very easily meet in the 1st round of the Championship. Maybe Tipp was the wake up call that the team needed.....in fairness, regardless what county you are from, who would have expected Tipp to beat us in Breffni??? I know Waterford has beaten us there in the past, but who ever mentions us beating a tough Cork team in Breffni??? I met members of the Cork team in Sydney when they were playng on the Irish International Rules panel and they distinctly remember the run-around Seanie gave them that day and "the teamwork of that Cavan team". We have a team that should be itching to replicate past glories and lets hope they make every minute count everytime they pull on the blue jersey, god knows there are many out there that would do anything to have that chance
