Lol Mossbags I was thinking the same thing about Parsons Pistol. He would have taken them if he had of stayed on his feet. Got a good wee win on Mikael there though so happy enough!!

Dunguib - Melbourne Cup winner 2009.

Scintillating, one of the most devasting performances ever I seen. Everything else was in a different parish to him. This horse should have been at Epsom for the Derby three years ago.

Who was worse? David Casey on Dancing Tornado or Paul Carberry on Casey Jones?

At least Casey has an excuse, he was riding a horse that clearly wasn't trying today. But Paul Carberry standing up in the saddle three from home on Casey Jones and then realising two furlongs later that the horses in front were coming back to him was poor. The horse would have been placed were it not for Paul throwing in the towel so soon. And back to Davy, how on earth does he get with it? He couldn't have held the horse up anymore and then when the leaders have gone, makes a half hearted effort to ride the horse before storming up the hill. Whether he would have been placed, I cannot say but he would finished better than eighth. A lot of people reckon David would have been as good as Walsh or McCoy were he not at this crack the whole time. I kind of agree.

Loyal i like carberry because he knew casey jones was beat at that time no point beating up the hill.

The horse would have been placed had Carberry not stopped trying. Everything in front came to a standstill bar the winner but by the time Carberry realised they were coming back to him, it was too late.

Yeah loyal watched few times there and i see your point and i think he was right not to beat him and he never thought the rest would stop in front .
