Great tip by Loyal. clipped the fence two out but still ran on well for third. Was never gonna beat the winner though, Quevega being the most impressive winner of the day.My only profitable race today, just about broke me even.Had a wee bit on loyals e/w. Good man Loyal, a legend of the board. mossbags (Galway) - Posts: 1089 - 10/03/2009 16:51:40 229199 Link 0 |
My comment on the champion hurdle was censored. Suffice to say I was far from impressed with Tony McCoy. Great jockey as proved in his getting Wichita up to win but I felt Binocular was the best horse in the ch hurdle and McCoy must be gutted by not winning it. mossbags (Galway) - Posts: 1089 - 10/03/2009 17:06:14 229220 Link 0 |
Fair play to you Loyal. You know yer stuff when it comes to the horses! have meself a nice few quid for the weekend. If I ever bumped into you, there'd be a few pints in it for ya!! sheepshooter (Meath) - Posts: 626 - 10/03/2009 17:07:14 229221 Link 0 |

Like sisco had quevega to win and got aura about you at 54-1 on betfair, nice. Saved my bacon only other joy was a lay on binocular. Though it pains me to say a nice thing about a meath man, loyal your a decent chap! ramormania (Cavan) - Posts: 31 - 10/03/2009 18:20:28 229292 Link 0 |
Got a tip for Aura About You in the last race so threw a few pound on him. Dropped from 40/1 to 28/1. Great minds think alike Loyal! men_of_49 (Meath) - Posts: 2022 - 10/03/2009 19:00:33 229331 Link 0 |
Its a bit cheeky that they(C4 racing) can claim Wichita lineman for the GB team should be 5- 1 to the Irish? LesBleus (UK) - Posts: 102 - 10/03/2009 19:24:05 229346 Link 0 |
Yeah Aura About You did well, Squeaky Cawley is a Galway man and one of the up and coming jockeys in Ireland and he gave her beautiful ride. She literally flew up the hill or else a lot around her stopped to a halt. Paul Carberry gave Go Native a great ride too saving ground all the way but the horse was all out. I'd be happy enough that Punjabi was the best horse in the Champion Hurdle on the day but I still can't believe he actually won it. The Harchi dream lives on. cheers loyal2theroyal, great word on aura about you, quevega was down for irish nap and came well, i think punjabi was worthy of his win, probably seen the last of harchibald, hardy eustace and brave inca in champion hurdle. Any more tips like that loyal???? nevergiveup08 (Monaghan) - Posts: 315 - 10/03/2009 20:44:01 229443 Link 0 |
Loyal, You were very shrewd in picking Aura About You. Well done !! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 10/03/2009 22:21:12 229528 Link 0 |
Mossbags, I agree with you regarding McCoy's riding of Binocular. I thought he should have positioned him closer to the leaders between the last two hurdles. Maybe he thought he could repeat his earlier heroics and just get him up on the line. I also feel he was the best horse in the race and if he had won i would have collected a huge amount of money. I would'nt like to tell you how much !! Cavan_Slasher (Cavan) - Posts: 10253 - 10/03/2009 22:41:48 229547 Link 0 |
