i believe that templeport will corlough a good fight at the though corlough should prevail due to greater fitness levels. gareth bannon needs a big game to retain the no.4 jersey.

how can a team like templeport go from being in the semi-final one year to fighting relegation the next. really have to win at weekend or they are doomed to division 4 football

Big game for laragh this weekend against ballymachugh.. Need to get back to winning ways if they want to get promoted. Starting to get inconsistent with a loss and a draw against shannon gaels and butlersbridge.

another weekend of big games in div3

Templeport v Corlough - Real humdinger of a local derby in prospect with the loser likely to end up in a relegation dogfight, very hard game to call but corlough could sneak it as they'll be encouraged with running munchies close last weekend...Corlough by 1

Munchies v Reds - no game for reds last weekend so will be rusty, they have the defenders to wrap up the 2 or 3 dangermen munchies have however home advantage may just swing it...munchies by 1

Ballymachugh v Laragh - big game in promotion race, defeat for laragh would leave it hard for them to get promoted - ballymachugh by 2

B'Bridge v bailieborough - wont be much in it but bailie to continue their march back to div2 - Bailie by 3

Shannon Gaels v Killygary - no comments on killygary team - Shannon Gaels by 8

Kildallan v Arva - kildallan have to improve but will find it hard against an inform arva, still home advantage will swing it - Killdallan by 2

Your dead right body-fuel.. Crowd of West Cavan ********.. Im writing to the Leitrim County board to see if they'd take them off our hands. Great post for your first contribution to the Hoganstand. I have the height of respect for you already, you legend.

Body__Fuel and Mountainman,

It's fine educated young individuals like yourselves that make these forums a joy to read.
such enlightened opinions, you really do offer a great insight in to the psyche of the typical cavan junior football follower.

obviously everybody would love to see templeport relegated? can you enlighten me as to why?

templeport a club with the worst team in cavan with the best facilities. what a shame.

monkeydude i have to agree with the Gareth Bannon comment. In regards to fitness I believe, apart from maybe 1 or 2, Templeport will have the edge and if management can resist the urge to constantly change players positions and let them settle into their positions they will win, although disipline will also be a big factor in the final result.

It doesnt matter where im from, After such an insightful and thought inspiring post by Body_Fuel I now realise how great it is to see West Cavan clubs in trouble.. Especially Templeport. He makes such a good argument I dont think there's any resistence to his logic..
Mountainman- Disappointed to see an attitude like that from a Corlough man. Rivalry between clubs fair enough but wanting to see your neighbours go down? Justify that one and ill be impressed.

Come on lads keep it football.
What ever happened to the Promises made by the Administrator only a few weeks ago.
If Kildallon can beat Arva it'll help them this weekend.
Neither TP or Corlough have been scoring freely over the last couple of games and JonSmith hit the nail when he said both sets of forwards Panic on the ball. Needing to walk the ball under the bar to score.
While its been pointed out that Killygarry haven't been playing senior plays and fair play to them, I'd worry that with 2 or 3 games left they might decide they want to remain in division 3 and depending on how they're seniors are going they could scrap enough points to stay up.
Fair play to the Munchies they are grinding out the results it might not be pretty but effective.
In my opinion Laragh will be Promoted along with BB
Not sure Ballymachugh have the scoring ability although McKernian and Sheridan are very lively.
Still alot of footie to be played yet.

Another win for munchies , few new fellas in the side very young backline though, looks very unexpeienced it will be tested with the physicalty of cornafean this weekend, few players in the side that look too light for adult football..corlough look like there goin too get relegated this year..

i have been a committed and proud follower of west cavan football over the past 30 years but my faith in this region was severly dented after been put through a horrific display by templeport last weekend. would like to thank firstulster for agreeing with my point about the changing of positions in the templeport team. massive game this weekend. it shall be won or loss on the line. would you agree with those sentiments anyone.

Templeport v Corlough - Templeport. :)

Munchies v Reds - Reds should have enough power to put away Munchies.

Ballymachugh v Laragh - Massive game in the overall promotion race. I think Laragh have more hunger. Hughs slightly arrogant. Laragh.

B'Bridge v bailieborough - I fancy B'Boro to stay unbeaten this year. By 4.

Shannon Gaels v Killygary - Shannon Gaels going very well should put away Killigarry.

Kildallan v Arva - Kildallan wont be beaten easily at home. Fancy them to take this one..
