Few Division 3 games on over next 7 days....

Cornafean v Kildallan....reds just about won against corlough to maintain their good run, kildallan played well against b'bridge and their forwards will cause reds defence alot of headaches, although reds have home advantage kildallan will match them....draw

Mountnugent v Shannon Gaels...mountnugent moving up the table as they win their games in hand, playing well at moment, dunno if givney will be available, shannon gaels are also playing well and with the team they have will relish playing on a dry sod, very hard to call but reckon SG could sneak it...SG by 1

Arva v Corlough...Corlough will earmark this game as a vital 2 points they need to survive, ran reds close last weekend and games between these two teams are always close, home advantage might just be enough for arva....arva by 2

Munterconnaught v Butlersbridge...munchies have shercock a good game in jfc and will hope to get themselves back in top 4 for league, bridge need to win to push up the table as they still have outside chance of promotion, home advantage might be the difference...munchies by 1

Cornafean v Ballymachugh
Ballymachugh should be too stong for reds, defeat for reds here will dent their top 4 ambitions, wont be much in it though...ballymachugh by 3

Cornafean 0-11 Ballymachugh 1-8. Exciting finish but not a great game last night. Ballymachugh will see it as a point lost in the race for promotion. League table is starting to take shape now. Table here. Butlersbridge are the only team that can creap into the top two with their 3 games in hand. They are playing Ballymachugh on Sat with Mountnugent and Munterconnacht to follow. Swad and Mountnugent play on Sat too, which should be a close one. Any views?

great win for bridge last night, ballymachugh have now dropped 3 points out of last four, will find it difficult to get promotion now. bridge still have 2 games in hand but games against any of the top half teams will be touch and go.
Looks like mountnugent sneaked another win last night

two big games for the bridge this week, will need to win both to have any chance of promotion, would rate them better than munchies but its away game for bridge so will be very tight, same with mountnugent, on a par with mountnugent but home advantage for bridge might just be enough

Yep, fair play to the bridge for winning the game, Its just a shame that they felt they had to take David Gibney out of the game by using nasty tactics. David spent the night in Cavan general and has been moved to Dublin today for a head scan. Well done to the bridge!!

Whats the storey with junior football, a good player (like Gibney) is always the subject of abuse every day he goes out......Teams reckon if they stop the big player by whatever means they will win ( unfortunatly its true most of the time too)......Refs should be awake to this but again the standard of refin in cavan is poor ( even at senior level.) Hope the lad is OK, a victim of his own success.........

Sadly once you become a county player you can expect rough treatment. Unfortunately this is part of the game that happens all over the country.
David would have sat in the dressing rooms with the minors and also his own club being told by there manager how to man mark different players. I expect most of you will have heard this over the years???
Unfortunately David it would seem had a hard game but may I ask did the referee book the player or players involved if not then they must have being playing within the rules.
If you start protecting players they will be destroyed by the opposition when they start playing inter-county matches.
I hope David will recover and I expect Butlers Bridge would be sending there best wishes too David and hoping for a speedy recovery.
I hope that all is okay with him and that this visit to Dublin is just a precaution.

Were any of you at the match, I was speaking to a man who was and was told that it was a collision between David and the Bridge CB going for a ball, the CB knee connected with David's head
