When Smith's on form there's not too many would catch high ball over him. Hopefully he can get his confidence up and start playing well. I see Coyle made an appearance for TP against Corlough. Remember him from the game against Kildallon 2 years ago. Very pacy player could be hard handled if he's fit. Looks to have bulked up a bit too? As for Gareth Bannon... He tries very hard.

I honestly do hope he does but were in the 5th month of the year now and he's played in nearly every game, I dunno how much time he wants in fairness. Your name and the way your getting behind him might lead one to believe you know him very well but thats just ones opinion. But enough its not like were talking about mccabe!

I dont know him personally or any of the rest of the team for that matter.. Just a humble observer! The username is in memory of the late great TomSmith who caused so much controversy on the HS not so long ago..
Anyone know how Kildallan v Cornafean went Lastnight?

killygarry beat arva,8 pts to 7,v hard fought match, arva did the right thing not starting joes minors, probably cost them 2 league pts, when they came on arva took over, still killy garry needed the win, their 1st team players were a cut above the rest, well done lads!

mountnugent lost a hard fought game with laragh, who did'nt look like winning but grinded out a result in the second half to win by 3 or 4 points. Givney caused havoc in first half but laragh got to grips with him in the end.

laragh beat mountnugent by 4 points in a game mountnugent could have won 10 minutes into the 2nd half. givney was v good at full forward the laragh CHB and no 12 were best on the field. to have so much posession and not win will be very disappointing for mountnugent, encouraging result for pierson and laragh. game played in a good spirit

Div 3 is beginning to stretch out a bit at the top so we can see who are the contenders to go up with bailieboro. Big game for laragh and munchies at the weekend with both teams on 9, the loser of this will not go up and i think the munchies will win and kill off laraghs chances. Arva blew a big chance at the weekend to keep up. Shannon Gaels and Swad will go fairly strong and finnish near the top. But Ballymahugh and Butlersbridge are the teams to watch out for, sitting well back the table with games in hand. I think it will end up like this at the end of the year:
Bailieboro
Ballymachugh
Laragh
Swad
Shannon Gaels
Butlersbridge
Munchies
Arva
Cornafean
Mountnugent
Templeport
Killdallen
Killygarry
Corlough

kilygarry v b'bridge a strong kilygary team sneaked a victory against a depleted arva side at the weekend, if they have same team out tonight and home advantage it could be a close game, still bridge should have enough to spare....bridge by 4 Bailieborough v Ballymachugh these will probably finish the top 2, bailie should still win this one to continue their unbeaten run....bailie by 2 Cornafean v templeport Templeport had an important win v corlough, this is a repeat of div6 final least year so cornafean will be looking for revenge and should win easy enough at home.....reds by 5 Laragh v Munchies game of the week, the loosers will find it hard to get promoted, if pierson concentrates on the 2 or 3 munchie dangermen and home advantage laragh should sneak it....laragh by 2 Kildallan v swanlinbar not sure what the update is in the kildallan camp, if things havent been sorted swad will win easy however Kildallan are due a bit of luck but maybe not in this game....swad by 3 Arva v Corlough arva need to bounce back after a disappointing defeat last week, games between these two games often end in draws however if arva can get some of their players back they should win....arva by 3

After many months of deliberation, Ive decided that the next cavan manager should be taken from the junior league because only managers in this division know the true feeling of putting together a team from limited resources and moulding them into a unit of fine young players, and seeing them mature is a great feeling for managers. And I think the best man for the cavan job is Tommy Mimnagh who manages Templeport and all his background staff. He has done all he can with that team. he is a true example of a man of the parish who is respected and loved by all. I think he would give a real go of things at the top flight . Any views on this choice

reply to santa clause; ballymachugh should beat baileboro,better all round team,bboro have not met as strong and well drilled team as the hughs yet in the league, m tynan will have them motivated for a big promotion battle;,laragh to beat munchies;,arva to get back on track with minors and gunner on board,;bridge and kgarry draw,kgarry will have strong team out and good luck to them;,kildallon due a bit of luck and a win, cant see them at the lower reaches for much longer;,reds will beat tport,g sheridan on fire;if givney plays mnugent will win,if he doesn t they won t, simple as;
