having served my suspension im glad to be back again. i tried to refer the matter to the DRA but they deemed it to be 'ultra vires' the scope of their authority which left the only option remaining to be a High Court Injunction...having taken the advice of another poster on the possible cost of such an application (20k) i decided to leave it..im just glad to be back, pity i missed the second week's fixtures though..

Melvinman, not everyone got two games correct (unfortunately!!!), a few of us went for Clare. Everyone got Wicklow/Waterford wrong as you say.

I was going to go for 4 points for those who predicted Antrim and Sligo. 2 points for those who picked Antrim and Clare/Draw. Also 2 points for the 5 non-entrants. Is that ok, seems fair to me - they would have got Antrim anyway?

If you guys let me know what you think and I'll post the results (might come up twice). If a dispute dundee_gin can be the final arbitrer.


Dundee-gin, I'll post results for this week. After that you can take it on if you like, its your idea and your competition; or I'll continue - whatever you prefer, I'm easy I'll keep the spreadsheet and use to check.

solo run, its ridiculous giving people points for noothing, two points will be very valuable down the line, there are 6 more rounds left with 16 games in each round, there is a lot of scope for people to move both up and down the leader board over that many games. giving people two points this week isn't fair to the people who predicted as i did sligo and antrim to win. the max points got this week were 4 and you want to give 2 points to the people who didnt post on time, thats not fair skin. i propose we run this properly.

Ok, the copy from excel didnt work, too messy looking. Here is the final update from Week 2. Charlotted the non-entrants only got points for Antrim beating Kilkenny. Looks like some of them had problem logging in. I've made an executive decision!! I'll give them the 2 points, unless Dundee overrules me. I understand your point but since the competition is only starting and in the interest of goodwill its not a big price to play, 7X16 112 matches to go, its unlikley to make a big difference. Anyone could miss a week, so to avoid any future controversy I'm announcing the following and I'll just get on with it. (1) Amnesty for the last round - 2pts for non-entrants (2) For the 20 players for this point onwards, miss 1 week then you get the lowest score posted that week (3) Miss 2 weeks then eliminated. (4) Miss isloated re-fixed matches then no points To matters on the 'field', florin, charlotted and the 'blow-in' jayocluxton continue to lead the way scoring 4 points this week, Champion1990 lost a little ground with Clare's defeat. PanBoxty has had a embarrassingly horrible start and looks a bit adrift after only 20 games; fergalOdonnell, the leagues most popular player! also continues to struggle as does his rival JimMorrisson. But with a full schedule of games this week we expect to see more movement and may not be until Rounds 5 and 6 we'll begin to see the true contenders.
