James Reilly's pass to corner-forward Jason Reilly, who buried it against Tyrone in 2005 Ulster championship!!!

For those of you with little GAA knowledge:

James Reilly: Twice all-star nominated goalkeeper from Drung in Cavan
Jason Reilly: Scorer of the winning goal (and countless others) in 97 Ulster final from Belturbet

LOL. Good stuff. At least it is if you are joking. If you are serious then I'm quite worried about you.

My top 10 kick-outs of all time are:
1. The kick-out down the middle.
2. The kick-out down the left.
3. The kick-out down the right.
4. The short kick-out.
5. The long kick-out.
6. The kick-out from the ground.
7. The kick-out from the tee.
8. The kick-out taken by one of the backs cause the keeper is barely able to stand up.
9. The kick-out with the really long run up.
10. The kick-out with the really short run up.

Ah, so many brilliant memories.

i assure u theres nothing funny bout the kick out....most underated skill in our great game....nothing is quite as magical when it is done right...the roar from the crowd as boot hits ball...moments like that are what really raises a team and are the difference between winning an all ireland or not LOL

My own personal favourite is the kick-out where the ball keeps falling off the tee, and just when it seems like it's settled it rolls off just as the goalies running up to kick it, and he makes a balls of it. Only seen it happen the once but it was the most memorable kick-out I've ever seen.

Some great memories there RM Drive, but you forgot my favourite
11) The short kick out to the corner back, but as you strike the ball and shout his name, you lift your head and realise that he is down on his knees doing up his shoe laces.

11. The kickout from the dodgy 4 foot nothing fat goalie with two strapped knees that always seems to hit the forty!

Good one MMM. That is worthy if a place in the top 10 all right. Must create a thread asking which province has the best kick-outs. Obviously it's Ulster but sure it will be good fun seeing the Connaught, Leinster and Munster folks try to argue differently.

Padraig Kelly the Offaly keeper has the best kickout in the last ten years

Maurice Fitzgerald and Matty Forde have the best freekick in the last 20 years

Yeah redhandman what about the one where the wind is blowing straight back at the goalie and when he kicks the ball the wind catches it and it ends up back over his own bar or in his own greatful hands

the best kick out i've ever seen (just in a small and pointless game with mates years ago):

'keeper takes ages working out where he's going to kick the ball, shouts at his team mates (who, as it is just a muck-about - can't really care less), generally makes a fool of himself.

to top things off, when he finally does kick the ball it scoops upward, bounces off the back of his team mate's head and flies back into the top corner!

it turned out to be the winning score -match was abandoned due to uncontollable laughter. we haven't let him forget it...

RMD - Ah the memories of the kickout from the ground, takes me back! Here's one you may have forgot....now picture the scene..... The 'keeper carefully places the ball on top of a tuft of long grass (he may have sneakily dug into the ground around this area and made an old style tee), he takes 6 or 7 strides back, puts his right hand in the air as if to make a signal to the outfield players.....upon seeing this there is a frenzy of movement around the middle of the park with players making runs everywhere. The 'keeper starts his run-up (it's gonna be a big kick this, i can feel it) and he strikes the ball with fury (not one of the brothers) and looks up to see it's flight, only to realise that it has scuttled along the ground and the full back and forward are fighting for the ball on the 21'. Screams of "Awww for **** sake" ring around the pitch! Now, that used to make me laugh something cronic when watching a game (it would've been me screaming when i was playing though)

Cuxton places some great accurate kicks, especially with Shane Ryan.

God bless the kickin tee though, has saved many's a potential goalie's career! Not too mind hips!!

Brendan Tierneys in 2002 all-ireland final. Marsden made a run from the corner forward position leaving Mark OSe in his wake. Tierney spots him and rather than hoof it down the middle he finds him with a 55 yard pass. Marsden lays it off to Andrew McCann who goes on a run for 30 yards or so, passes to McConville, McConville takes off, plays a one two with McGrane, McConville buries it, goal. Armagh back in the game. Ant the rest as they say is history.
