Shane is from Bettystown Co Meath.

Curious George, not a cheap shot but rather a fact - unfortunate as it is.

''Why cant it be Thomond''

Because that would be a home game for Munster it could be played at the RDS but that would then make it a home game for Leinster

I suppose it would be nice to see the Ospreys play in Ireland. Would be tough on their fans though.

Even if Leinster lose and Munster win as some posters suggest they will, am I right in saying Munster will still need to find a stadium in Ireland (other than Thomond) that can hold 20,000 plus specatators to host the semi final?

Can't see any alternative to Croker for this one...

Bubba you are nearly right in saying Munster will still need to find a stadium in Ireland (other than Thomond) that can hold 20,000 plus specatators to host the semi final - except for the bold bits.

setanta0,

the point that i was trying to make is that rugby as a sport has a 'spirit', similar to that of GAA, where fans behave and respect each other and the game, the players play with pride and passion, not just for money and a celebrity-status like soccer stars. perhaps, some GAA players, will leave the sport to play rugby, but i don't think we have any way of influencing that decision.

If Munster make it through and Leinster dont then should the game not be held at the RDS and not croker if Thomand is not allowed?

My dear man i'm quite aware its the biggest stadium on the island, does that make it "national", and yes it was paid for by a voluntary organisation, the actual people that built it were professionals, any ground could hold this mythical fixture, all is needed is a pitch, the stadium is only needed to get more punters in to pay the pro players. I think the point theatre is the largest concert venue in the country, is it national? no just as croke park its private, Anglo Irish Bank, now theres an "national" institution, It can only be held in croke park if its approved by congress which i think is not til easter, when is the big game???

well said omaghjoe and sam02. For the record there does be trouble at rugby matches and I can cite numerous incidents of it.

That's it then, the final word. No more GAA at Croke because there is trouble at it.

Nice one Tom, we can use the stadium as a museum with you as an exhibit.

Leinster will not beat Quins so why are we even discussing it. If they do then I'm all for it and screw the rugby crowd over with crazy ticket prices!
