I agree, Offaly, Limerick and Tipp would be the three to target. If we can get a few more players back then this should be able to take them. Down, Louth and Roscommon will be a different story. We will need to be at full strength and full confidence. It would be a good achievement for us to have 8 points in the league, 10 would be a stretch, more ... well mission impossible. acomeon (Longford) - Posts: 82 - 04/02/2009 10:18:27 197685 Link 0 |

does anybody think we were blessed last sunday. kingofthewing (Longford) - Posts: 67 - 04/02/2009 13:01:47 197886 Link 0 |
Two hard fought points gained... a battling performance from a team still shy a few players ... players new to the scene getting a chance to perform and put in a stake for a shirt (or impress enough to be brought on in games)..wouldnt worry about players getting big heads, sur isnt that the managements job to make sure that does not happen. Let their heads swell, let them enjoy the win... let the management get them right for the next game. This team has a long way to go, but if they are competing and improving week after week who knows what will happen come the summer...As supporters we have our role also... support from us instills confidence in the players...As for being blessed on sunday!! You make your own luck, sometimes you get lucky breaks sometimes you dont.... cavan got quite a few soft frees that maybe on another day they might not have got... they had their chances to finish us off in their period of dominance in the second half, but they didnt and suffered the consequences... something you will see happening all over the country this year and every other year... but we got over the finishing line with the points in the bag and i for one am very happy about that!! itsallgood (Longford) - Posts: 1 - 04/02/2009 21:29:08 198469 Link 0 |
