Just a couple of questions for that team that was selected

1 - Who's C Watters?? I know an Stephen Watters????
2- In what county is the club called 1-3???? I know David Morgan played for Mostrim but when did he transfer to 1-3 and where do they play???????
3- Is Declan and Noel Farrell now conjoined twins and are considered one player??

From what I heard the captaincy will be rotated on a game to game basis similar to Dublin for the league. There is no need for a captain until July.

The Leinster Final is down for decision on July 12th.

Paul Barden is captain, Kevin Smyth is Vice-captain. Barden an obvious and deserving choice after serving the county with distinction for years.

Is Stephen Watters on the panel? Totally agree with picking him, he should of been playing last year half way through the league cos in my opinion Sheridan had lost his confidence or something!!!! Plus Watters wasn't on either team that played in the O'Byrne Cup. Not sure on playing Declan Farrell at wing back???? You sure its not Noel you'd play there?? Is P Barden available? Thought he was injured.

Declan Farrel might be better off as a wing back, cause he cant score points in my opinion...doesnt do any damage in the forward line at all to be honest!!

Team to play cavan in league opener.
1. S. Watters
2. D. Brady
3. N Farrell
4. P McDonnell
5. Arthur O Connor
6. Enda Williams
7. Shane Cox
8. Diarmuid Masterson
9. Kevin Smith
10. Padraic Berry
11. Kevin Mulligan
12. Peter Foy
13. Cian Mimnagh
14. P. Shanley
15. Francis Magee

Hard to pick a team and Longford dont look the finished article in many areas. will struggle around middle of field, but masterson and smith are two good fielders. foy and berry for breaks. both strong fast and tenacious. think this is best team. morgan one dimensional and shane doyle is an average intermediate player, nowhere near a county player. declan farrell, flynn and boots to come off the bench. Glenn Ryan should pick this team in my opinion and i hope he does. it will challenge cavan at least.

Well Williams did a good job at centre back last year when he came in so he'd be the obvious choice. Haven't seen Cox play so can't comment on that and Shanley is only in there cos we're missing the 2 Bardens, Dowd and Kavanagh.
