im hearing of a serious rift in the shrule camp!!!
i think its to do with shrule managment not giving glencorrib players an even shot at the team,
after there achievements 2 years ago it would be a dissapointment in them not contending for silverware!!!

But i hear there are 5 or 6 key players who will refuse to play under such managment!

Acminor that could be very well the case....and i wouldnt be a bit supprised!

I would know a few Shrule lads through working in galway and when they talk about their club it is not shrule/Glencorricb but just shrule!!!(as you can see from the name of t thread)his But from what iv heard this has been a problem for a few years now!!

Shurle is the right place and name for the club but they shouldn't punish young lads for wat happened in the past

to end the debate as to whether its shrule or shrule/glencorrib answer this question and it will be obvious?
of the players to have represented Mayo from the club in the last decade how many were from Glencorrib? also where are all home matches played lotto tickets sold and lotto draw held? how many Glencorrib businesses have sponsored jerseys etc???

Well exiled1.........U obviously avnt a clue

Number 1: Kieran Conroy is frm the parish of glencorrib.Jus incase u havnt heard of him he played full back last year
Number 2:Ther are no pubs in glencorrib, just 1 small shop where the GAA lotto is sold. Because of this, the locals who are involved within the club sell tickets in their villages.
Number 3: Just because the senior team is sponsored by a business in shrule doesnt mean anything........Every underage type of gear is sponsored by a glencorrib business wheter it be jerseys,t-shirts or gearbags.

So yeah.......thats y der calld Shrule/Glencorrib

I agree 100% with milhouse!!! Im not form shrule or glencorrib so i dont really Know who sponsors them but what i do know through my underage management involvement is......they play most if not all underage games in Glencorrib...the shrule pitch is quite poor to be honest!!

Another thing do they not sell lotto tickets and have a draw in some pub in Cross??? Is that in the parish of shrule?? I think not!!!

exiled1 you made a fool of yourself there. about the lotto tickets no player from the parish of shrule sells any tickets while the players from glencorrib have to go around to houses and pubs selling them. the pitch in glencorrib is a far better pitch than the one in shrule, the shrule pitch is always either waterlogged or it is rock solid and the dressing rooms in glencorrib are now better than the shrule ones.

I don't know how long ago was it but shurle and glencorrib played with each other and were doing fine then glencorrib tried to make their own team in glencorrib and left shurle. A few years later after being rubbish and couldn't keep a club together they ran back to shurle who were doing well without the glencorrib players anyway

very childish arguments! Isnt it a great thing that ye have two pitches in the club! Neither parish would be strong enough to challenge for senior titles on there own! shrule/glencorrib have been a very succesful amalgamation and its own a matter of time before u win the championship........if ye remain united!

very powerful team dis year.
with talented young players like as stanton, canavan, ryan an james payne dey should go far dis year.
four players that i expect to be called into the county minor team.

Think shrule have good minor team this year but St. Gerards will be the team to beat in the south this year. They have most of last years team who almost won B county final. Alot of good players there who have been playing together for a long time now

Dalganman, ryan and payne are good players but far from county standard. staunton is the only chance for a county place this year for shurle

Shrule/Glencorrib minors are currently 2 weeks into their circuit training programme and are taking to the grass in about 2-3 weeks time.Good management is in place there is no so called"rift in the camp" thats rubbish and everything is going well.I expect they wont lie down too easily when "A" championship football comes around.

hydro,as far as i know james payne and young ryan are attending college in sligo together.they are not side tracked or temped by the 'college' life and are training 4 times a week in both the gym and on the track, i think you wil be surprised come championship at there standard as wil ray demsey.
