How does anyone see the three divisions going this year then? 1st Moores, 2nd Preston 3rd Teeside/New York?

Unfortunately i don't have a clue how the lower divisions will go, but i think Moores are the only shot at the top division.

Think moores may do it, newcastle are going very well this yr some big wins and new faces in the team. not sure about division 2. Cant see Teeside getting anywhere near it this year lost most of their players last yr and took a heavy beating to manchester in the league. sheffield and NY will be the teams to beat this yr !!!!

I think it will be Moores in Div 1 this year with Man Met taking Div 2, not sure about lower down as i'm not familiar with the other teams.

Div 3 will be interesting this year I think Cambridge or Edinburgh to go through form group 1, Oxford or Glasgow for group 2, Sheffield or NY for group3, Nottingham or Teeside to go through from group 4.Can Salford do anything since the split with Man Met?

Should be really competitive!It's been very quiet on the liverpool front, how have any of the top teams been getting on?Did Napier get any challenge games organised in Ireland over Xmas?

i have been playin against napier for the last 3 years and this years team is defo the weakest that i have seen. aberdeen and dundee have already beaten them and they are no world beaters! ive heard alot of lads have chosen to play hurling rather than football for napier!......it looks like div 1 will be between jmu and hope?? i believe that hope have a tyrone senior player in their ranks, any truth in this?? any word on the other teams?

Yeah, your right. There's a guy just outta minor who was member of tyrone panel for a period in last year or 2. A brother of ronan clarke is with JMU by all accounts aswell as Monaghans Eoin Lennon.
Reckon it could be tighter than ever this year and surprisingly the liverpool duo are remaining tight lipped, compared with previous years, when this message board was full comments aimed at each other. Napier will have a crack at it but will prob fall short to JMU in the end

corvalley there is indeed a huring team in JMU, well there was last year anyway. from what i know they have a very decent squad and are run pretty well. As for the uni football. Being a Hope man - i would like to see the lads lift there 1st title. John moores still very strong though and the drawn league match between the 2 is an indication of how tight any meeting over the c'ship wk end will be. I would be interested to see how Napier, RGU, Dundee and Aberdeen contest the wk end as i know a fair few players up there who are of good quality and senior inter-county standard (at least 1). My own opinion is that it would be naive to rule out any of the eight sides for the title. JMU have a massive advantage in that they are old hands at handling the pressure and have the experience to see out the whole wk end. Napier have been knocking on the door this past 2 yrs and hope have been frustratingly pipped by an inch of daylight in recent years by the moores men. My own verdict is that it will boil down to between 4 teams, JMU, Napier, Hope and Dundee to possibly emerge as contenders this year. would love to give an opinion on St.Marys but as usual they have the luxury of being away from prying eyes. Should be good wkend for the neutral. hopefully be travelling over to B'ham to see the men in maroon take their first title (hopefully by way of inflicting some heartbreak on JMU along the way. lol)

JMU have no chance this year because of all the players they have lost from the last few years. Hope will need to watch the might not get through the Friday because they are not that good dont know where they have this arragence from when they havn't won nothing EVER! Im sure if u get in touch with the lads at JMU they will get u registered in time to play at the weekend you never know you might beat the 1st..... when did JMU ever beat Liverpool Uni?
