Some interesting ties this Friday: Moate CS v Pats of Navan, St Josephs Rochfortbridge V Marist Athlone, Athlone CC V Good Counsel. Any thoughts? Verdicts?

Hard to see how Coffey can play in this game seeing that he goes to the Marist

Big showdown between ACC and Good Counsel. Winner takes Leinster in my opinion. Watch out for Edenderry though. Dark horses in this competition. will get amuch clearer idea after second rnd

Interesting results. blows the door right open. its anyones to play for now. really impressed with Heslin. Can make a game by himself. Kingston aswell obviously. But ive a feeling Edenderry are going to do it. they have that bit more finesse and are complete all round the field. Best westmeath team still in contention is Rochfortbridge.

anyone agree?

no. the brigde might have hammered moate and athlone in the league but they never played mullingar, who were missing heslin and Corroon and the time. Mullingar are the side to reckon with in westmeath but I think Good Counsel are the sharpest overall (with edenderry a close second!).
