Buchan is the obvious one, used to think Dave Mackay as well but I don't think he captained Hearts in 1956.

Patrique - the Irish Independent for the 22nd February 1909 actually gives the score as a slighty more respectable Dublin 4-12 Cavan 1-3, Dublin were 3-7 to 0-2 up at half-time having played against the breeze. The Indo report says that:
"It was the first occasion on which Cavan had represented the Northern province, and it was expected that they would give a better display than any of their predecessors had done, but, we must say, they disappointed."
