Carlow town R.I.P

i hope the carlow town hurling club can get what ever problems they have sorted out, with the county team going so well for the last few years and with only seven senior hurling clubs in the county the size of the town they really should have no problem fielding a competitive team but for some reason their seems to be a lot of trouble in the camp.their is some great hurlers in the town especially dunbar and they deserve to be competing for the club title not simply being the bottom team every year i hope they sort it out this year.

I have mentioned 9 players, all bar the McCormack brothers have hurled in the last year, and to the best of my knowledge they opting out of hurling was their own decision and not as you have stated. You also stated else where on this forum that 6 players have left the club. My information is 2 have transferred, so maybe you should get a better grasp of facts and figures and their relevance before making your seemingly "plucked from the hat" comments.
The only digging I see is the large hole you may have to bury your misleading untruths in.
UP THE TOWN.

to centrefield you havent seen the senior team play in a long time Iain mc cormack hasnt played since 05, Eric played a couple of games in 07 same with Ronan donnelly, but then again you did mention you are away from the town .you forgot to mention other good lads in Liam Kenny and Peter Phelan , john king. were are they now?maybe you could tell but then again there is a lot of lads around carlow town who havent seen carlow town play in a long time i wonder why this is? A good start by the senior team won 2 games in a row that hasnt happened in a long time Don walker has done a good job . 6 players havent left the club but there will be 6 missing from the senior squad this year and that includes the 2 lads gone Jason brennan & Michael Ryan but then again there will 25 or 30 missing who dont have the choice whether they want to hurl or not you guessed it. its called the Carlow Town Junior Hurling squad so my numbers have increased many times!! and this something i dont want to be right about because it saddens. Come on the slash for 09!!

Always interesting to read posts on the Carlow hurling club. Why?

A real fantasy, as some people talking about players who have not hurled in years!!!

Posters need to get real and talk facts. The club have NOT entered a junior team. Fact. Why?
There is only one reason... the club needs these players to play senior!

The team has reportedly played 2 games in challenge games. How did they do?

One poster says that Rory Dunbar played after playing for Carlow county team and lauds him for this....! Is this not highly iresposnsible of the management of this club to play him in such a game? Have they not got enough of a squad that they have to play a player who has played 70 minutes for the county team in a friendly game?

Seems that the hurling club has a long way to go regarding player welfare?

The real test will come later in the championship.

So, fellow posters who are talking up the chances of the club... please look at the Big Picture, and do not be posting 'propoganda'!
