Why in the name of god would anyone resurrect this thread, its 4 years old for pity sake. Like a lot of you southern lads take great pleasure in saying to us up north, "time to move on", please.

Definately the dubs were the hungrier team in that 2nd half, but nerves got to them in the last 5 mins and they nearly blew it. That was there only decent chance of winning the all ireland from 83. Would have been a long wait til 2011.

Watched the game last night myself, i couldnt get over how dirty it was and people talk about todays physicality, there were men getting mowed down all over the place lol

It was Brutal, Tyrone were so poor and it just shows how much we have come on as a footballing county.... so many mistakes and so many average players. Dublin mind you were not a whole lot better, people should stop complaining about the state of football today because after watching that crap it does put things into perspective.

Tyrone lost in 1995 not because of Redmond being on the field when he should have been sent off, not because of P.Canavan's disallowed score but because Adrian Cush got injured in a training session a few days before the match. Cush in my opinion was an excellant forward and linked up really well with Canavan hence the reason Tyrone were in the final in the first place. But of course big Art McCrory and his philosophy of keeping players down only named his team after the last training session before any big match.....so in order to impress the management team you would have men cutting lumps out of eachother to get on the team, Adrian Cush was a victim of Art McCrory's management techniques and why Matt McGleenan wasn't on from the start is a joke. The arrival of Micky Harte has truely been a blessing.

Bren - I reckons its been ressurected as the game was on TG4 last night.

Going to get hammered now for Dublin bashing but you boys were plainly robbed in the game but a wee bit naeve at the same time. Nobody on the Tyrone side seemed to notice that Redmond had been sent off either - can you imagine this happening today?

The game was shown last night in TG4

It was awful especially from a Tyrone perspective, thank god for Micky harte thats all I can say after watching this game again. We were all over the place. The tackling and off the ball stuff by Dublin was criminal at times

We were robbed of a replay but in all fairness Dublin done Tyrone football loads of good that day.Tyrone put the heads down and got to work and we've gotten 3 All Irelands so far. Thanks Dublin

You say average cacsmckilly, but they still emerged victorious in a province that had provided the previous 4 All Ireland champions, shared amongst 3 different counties. I'd say it was the management team that were average.

What a joke bringing this back up, Tyrone started to play in injury time, that's why they lost the game, as for Charlie, I think it was Logan he was involved with, and the Tyrone lad asked for it.

Thats the first time I have watched the game since that day in 95, its funny how time clouds reality. My memmories from the game at the time was I felt we were robbed. But looking at it last night it was clear to me that the better team won on the day. Fay's mistake for the goal was the difference. The Charlie incident had no bearing on the outcome he touched the ball once and was only on for 2 mins. Sean McLoughlins point should have stood as I felt at the time the ball was bouncing. Canavan was unlucky to have slipped just as the ball came to him.

On reflection I think Paddy Russell had a decent game and I think he is owed an appology from Tyrone as he has been pillored in Tyrone for years over one incident in a game where we were second best.

It's the old notion that we deserve nothing, gaelic football is a culchie game and if we win, we either stole it or were lucky. Dublin won, it's confined to the history books, plenty to discuss about this weekend and the next.

Carlow is famous for being the county that NO ONE gets in the quiz question "Name the 32 counties in Ireland".
