culawan County: Dublin Posts: 124 175120 olivers, don't be minding dubupnorth he will argue with you till you get the better of him and then ignore you.I apolagise on behalf of all true Dubs for the abuse he has just given you. I think he has lost his grip on reality as he was going on for ages about the Dubs match on NewYears Day but now won't mention it because he was afraid to go out in the cold.He will be down looking for tickets in the Summer though no serously culiWUM dont apoligise for me or the rest of us true dubs, as far as i know you and dubupnorth ( who seems to speak alot of sense) are having a lil lovers tiff, and its getting serously repetative. and you always seem to be the instigater. can you please give it a rest. any dub would be proud of our representation up north!! and of a man who does such good work for the community lino_de_legend (Dublin) - Posts: 816 - 08/01/2009 23:32:17 176259 Link 0 |

Hold on lads Lino is putting himself forward as the sheriff and judge of HS...Well I for one feel we should all be able to say and do as we please with no one even lino making aspersions on people like Culawan who seems to speak a lot of sense while Dubupnorth is well able to speak up for himself I'd say..... if dubupnorth can use the computer to put up posts he can also use it to stand up for himself if he feels he is getting attacked he does not need girls coming on HS defending him . hipster (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 09/01/2009 15:57:54 176785 Link 0 |
Hipster , wouldn't describe myself as a legend , I'm just a normal bloke and wouldn't claim any different. Lino , thanks for the support and glad to see that other people have noticed who's insinuating all those hassle. Like other's have said , I am more than able to stand up for myself but it's nice to know that support from a sensible poster exists. dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 11/01/2009 08:58:16 177605 Link 0 |
Ehm , bit of a typo in my last post. Should've read INSTIGATING all the hassle and NOT insinuating. Whoops! dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 11/01/2009 14:39:02 177684 Link 0 |
When I lived in Dublin(8-10 years ago now, Christ!!) Tony Hanahoe would take a hard earned break from his legal eagle shenanigans and come into the hotel I worked in almost every day for his lunch which usually consisted of being a smoked salmon sandwich. Glad to say he never seemed too tempted by the prawn variety. If I had ever met a true gentleman it was this former Deblin legend. mossbags (Galway) - Posts: 1089 - 11/01/2009 15:18:02 177705 Link 0 |
well lads sorry to burst your bubble, im actually a she( i know st barry is disappointed!). listen i'm really only lookin after myself!. most of the threads have turned into a culiwan/dubupnorth thread. dubupnorth posts and culiwans on straight on after to criticise ( apologies for the bad spellin). i just rather they argue over issues and not because there culiwan /dubupnorth. lino_de_legend (Dublin) - Posts: 816 - 12/01/2009 00:36:02 178010 Link 0 |
lino i think you will find that dubupnorth is a phone operator as he said himself and i suppose if he is good the ambulance men might give him the odd jaunt hipster (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 12/01/2009 14:20:36 178379 Link 0 |
ALMOST right there hipster. I'm a control officer which is a lot differen't to being an ''operator''. We deal with emergency's and pass medical advice to the caller if needs be until the crew arrive at the scene of the emergency. In order to get that promotion I had to have the relevant ''on the road'' experience and medical knowledge neccesary. I rarely go on the road these days unless it's on overtime or to keep my hand in. In this day and age I'm happy to be working there although the hours can be quite anti-social and not helpfull if you want to continue playing football. dubupnorth (Dublin) - Posts: 1897 - 14/01/2009 09:00:22 179903 Link 0 |
Is it Mrs or Ms Lino de legend. St_barrys (Dublin) - Posts: 38 - 14/01/2009 11:35:23 180030 Link 0 |
Well Barry bud - I think u'll find the opposite. I have seen lotsa posts on here when sum1 has being 'outed' as a women that question wot wd she know about the GAA. Taht she shd be makng the dinner or hoovering or ironin or that. If antin it makes sum here less polite when they know sum1 is from the fairer sex. I don;t think it makes any difference to the knowledge and its great to see women discussin GAA. Give them the vote now I say! Only wumming women! Lino Why is it wrong for a new poster to assume your a man unless corrected. As for it being an issue it was not my good self but THF who mentioned your gender in his gallant defence of you on the board. You might say he was your knight in shining armour. I have no problem with the fairer sex on HS. BY the way you can refer to me as whoever you like as that is your right and like they say different strokes for different folks St_barrys (Dublin) - Posts: 38 - 14/01/2009 22:21:25 180701 Link 0 |
