Jimmymac really after one game coming on and giving a rant about players and selection is quite frankly wrong.

You are slagging off players who for many people deserve there chance on the panel!!

As for the Blues and Collon lads saying this player and that player wasn't picked for the panel, we don't know whether they were asked and declined for whatever reason, probably one player mentioned there on club form last season definately deserves to be on the panel and that is Hugh McGinn, but he was there before and maybe didn't impress for some reason. As

As for some of the others like Brian Kermode I know he played a few games last year so maybe he didn't impress, he was disapointing in the semi against Brides and didn't really have a great final, I seen plenty of Blues games last year and I thought Keith Lynch was their standout midfielder.

Big Mac knows a lot of the younger players coming through from his tenure as both u-21 boss with Louth and minor manager with Geraldines so give him a few more months please and less of the negativity!!

Can't understand the negative comments surrounding the team so early in the year. Last weekend's results prove nothing. However, it was good to see so many new young faces getting a run.

We can disagree on the makeup of the panel - in any panel of 30, 21/22 will feature in most peoples pick, the remainder will always be contentious - but its good to see Mac giving youth a chance. I just hope he sticks to this policy.

Fact of the matter is we need at least 6 or 7 changes in personnel from last year when we face Dublin again in the championship. Really, if fit, only Reynolds, Goss, Ray Finnegan, Lennon, Keenan, Hoey and Judge can be viewed as likely starters that day. All other places are up for grabs.

And I wouldnt knock players because they seem small......Davy Harte, Brian Dooher, Martin Penrose and Brian McGuigan all featured on Tyrone's winning team in 2008....and none could be described as big. They are, however, very good and that surely is the true test for any player. Skill will always win out !

Quinn, thanks for making my point for me. Tyrones best players the whole year would be too small according to most people. Dooher, Mc Cullagh, Mc Mennamin etc. If they're good enough they're big enough. Would people prefer some 6'6 donkey who cant run or kick just because he'e big!!

Have to agree with Jimmy mac..i dont see costello as a long term member o f the county panel,im all for trying new and younger palyers out,but i dont see costello as one of them.Ive seen alot of mediocer to good forwards really play well on him!Now he's a good club player, but i dont think county standard he is. Delighted crilly, pops and hoey are gettin their run, they deserve it! I hope mac does his best to get mcginn in,and get david reid playin..we need quality....
