Seems to be big issues within the club if what we read on here is through!

So, after all the hyperbole, only 1 Fintona 'soccer' player has requested a transfer from the club to another in Tyrone. An old saying about mountains and molehills spring to mind

It's widely known that McCarron is gone to Enniskillen, but 1 other player has requested a transfer to Drumragh, however according to my source the Pearses seem intent on fighting it (Rightly in my view, but that's irrelevant). No other Fintona player has requested a transfer with Tyrone.

2 out of 2 for Fintona, looking good. Seems like the ronaldos were wrong.

I see the Pearses came up short against Glenelly on Sunday; it seems you were right to reserve judgement. Glenelly won by three points despite hitting ten wides. Meanwhile the Ronaldo's have won Division Three of the F & W League and will be in Division 1 next season. It is a long time since the Pearses won a league title.

I see Aidan Mc Carron is performing well up front for Enniskillen Gaels. He scored eight points against Tempo on Wed night. This is the club of the current Fintona Pearses secretary, I trust he was suitably impressed?

Just looking at league tables in Gaelic Life there and your club seem to be going reasonably well without the soccer boys. At this stage is seems like the right decision.

Early days yet, but remember this is Division 3 football, hardly the heights which a club with such a long fruitful history might aspire. They were brought back to earth by Errigal Ciarans' 3rd side on Sunday. They clearly exposed the weaknesses in the team with Damian Mc Dermott running rings round a succession of Fintona defenders.

in my opinion mccarron is nothing special, the boys are enjoying their football this year and last year as there was no fights or falling out with each other. there is a few soccer boys back this year and the team is doing well. McCarron decided on his own to go to enniskillen he would have been more than welcome to come back to fintona.

For A Fintona Man Greg you do talk about flaws of the fintona team, but you still head out to watch the game and still take notes?? Even when 2 other men alreadly do this for fintona.

Sorry I have not been on this site for a while I was unwell. Yes I still go to matches and I write reports just not for Fintona any more. They have banned me from contributing!! They have made it very clear that do not want me, or indeed anyone else who is prepared to challenge those people who seem to think the club is their own personal property. The flaws in the team are very clear for anyone to see. If they are not addressed we will continue to struggle in the lower leagues in Tyrone. I am fully committed to my community and the club which is why I feel so strongly about what I see. I am still surprised that certain people cannot see that what they are doing is wrong.
Houserules, the accomplishments of the club are on the web site. Soccer was never the problem it is just some people used it as an excuse to pursue their own agenda.

No one is using it as an excuse, soccer should not be allowed while they are playing for their club. The problem is boys going out on a saturday to play soccer and then go out on a sunday injured and boys that are putting 100% in to their club more or less get pushed to the side.

None is thinking that this club is their own property, this is something i think you have just thought up.

We are going well in the league and championship and people that are talking about this only push us all the harder. I saw all the soccer boys acutaly in Dromore at our match and some of them couldnt even lift a hand to clap, and i think some of them were also glad to see us win.

Sorry but I have to totally disagree with you on a number of points. If you were at the infamous 2008 AGM. You will have heard a number of people saying that soccer is not the problem. Again this is something which has been repeated to me by a number of GAA stalwarts. The problems came to a head because of the success of the Swifts. It seems some people were unhappy with Swifts players but had no problem with other soccer players who did not play for the Swifts. Had the powers that be, sought to accommodate the local soccer club, both codes could have benefited. Intransigence on both sides ensured that this would not happen. The injury issue is one which has surfaced before but it was in fact rarely a problem. Would the same problem not arise where people played College/School/County football or indeed Hurling on Saturday? It seems that the club also has a problem with hurlers also, what is going on there then?

As regards the issue of the club being some people's personal property. The evidence is there for everyone to see. The micro management practices of the club are well known and even the club committee are rarely informed of decisions made on their behalf. Add to this the fact that a small number of individuals have been in charge for almost a quarter of a century and you should be able to see where I am coming from with this.

Yes some Swifts players were at the Championship game, and of course they were pleased to see us win. They still love our club they have just been forced out by the intransigence of certain individuals. Two of our best performers on the day also play soccer in the winter.

Greg The club does not have any problems with these other sports and to be honest i think to talk a lot of rubbish, you were the one that got urself in the mess at the agm and now your making it sound like your didnt. the bottom line is that the soccer players are not being pushed out its their decision weither they come back or not. at the end of the day they must not love their club that much if they cant push on and go back, no one minds anyone playing soccer when the gaelic season is over and above all people you should no that. and as for the swifts winning and you thinking that this is the problem you are sadly mistaken as if is definatley not that reason
