Jayz, there's me thinking you had a genuine grievance about Tyrone fans, turns out you're just another Tyrone-basher (member of the anti-Tyrone coalition?). Can't believe I took your earlier post seriously now.

I am nearly sure we are talking 1996 but it does not help that the official Tyrone Website does not MENTION hurling.

MichaelO, it was serious, but borderboy made a comment which tried to mock a point in my post (funnliy enough, he sided with the ulster side)... And of course refused to actually have an opinion on the matter himself... So i gave him what he deserved

patrique about the only tyrone team the 4 mcgourtys could get on is the tyrone scor team, but then again an antrim man wouldnt know much about that type of culture unless it involved holding a blunt stick in his hand

My Woolworth vouchers clearly state by one get 2 free. One of them boys a liability around any team. No addition to any side

Thank you Michael O, I couldn't find hurling at all on the site, but then my IT skills are possibly deficient.

Thanks for this.

Kevin McGourty is only challenged by Declkan O'Sullivan at centre half forward. He reminds me of McDonald, wonderful perception and distribution. He can however contest and win high ball at mid-field, unlike any other centre half forward I can think off. Mind you, there is a bit of a dearth in this position at the moment.

CJ has more natural footballing ability than any Tyrone forward. whether he has the team ethic, work rate, high tempo, tackle back and fill in at full back qualities, I am not sure. CJ did manage to score 4-6 in an Ulster football final, and 4-5 the following week in an Ulster hurling final so he has qualities not associated with Tyrone forwards.

Ciaran can win ball and distribute it and score.

Melissa is a fine camogie player.

Mind you they got it all from the da, who got it all from me when we were kids, so it is not a great surprise.

I wish you hadn't said that TheMaster, but when you make incoherent and illogical comments you should expect a bit of mild mockery. So here is what you deserve: berbatov (note lower case 'c' as in you earlier post) is not a GAA player that I am familiar with but I suppose by now I should be well used to the ridiculous presumption that we are all as intoxicated with English soccer as you are. For your information, however, be aware that GAA county organisations and indeed clubs are now allowed to go out and "buy players" - even those with upper case surnames. As for my "siding with Ulster," take that as a fact of geography, but I was not aware that I was intruding on yet another irrational Mayo assault on our neighbours, the all-Ireland champions.
However, if you're selling players, I'll have a couple of Mortimers, thanks. They are clearly wasted on a bunch of berbatovs where they are.

the best centre half forward in Ulster at the minute is John McEntee, chips in with his fair amount of scores. Puts in plenty of big hits (but never above the fifth rib) and he will catch more high ball around midfield in one match than McGourty will in a year.

Quite a good initial post actually. It does point out that as long as London includes NI as part of its realm, it wouldnt offer such awards to the most successful sportsmen in the country. Accepting such an award is a different matter all together.

But as we have seen on the BBC in London before, NI and GAA are non entities in their eyes.
A few years ago a petition was on to push for Canavan in the sports personality of the year. He actually received more votes than a number of the top 10 but was brushed under the carpet and not considered thanks to "voting irregularities" (i.e loads of votes being cast). He was given the NI regional award.

Then on a more serious note, a bit of craic has turned Patrique somehow on to Antrims camogiers again. Again. Again. Again.

BBC sports personality does brush the votes under the carpet. A fisherman received the most votes ten years or so in a row but never featured in the awards. The other fishermen were simply trying to show that fishing had the 2nd biggest participation after soccer.

And jane Adams, one of Antrim's camogs, should have won it.

To tell the truth, if the Olympics were not sexist denying women equal opportunities Victoria Pendleton would have won three Gold and walked the award. A lot easier on the eye than Chris Hoy.

dellboy i see your showing your ignorance again - a word of advice if you dont know what your talking about its sometimes best to say nothing. Tyrone did indeed win a special all ireland hurling title the word special was in no way meant to be derogatory.

Another pointless thread started and contributed to by posters who hate Tyrone and will not change and the idiot element from Tyrone who will always rise to the bait. Sad. Its a new year folks, think of something new to write about.

Ah wind them in Goodfella. Admittedly I started the thread for a bit of mischief and sure enough it took off. But I do not hate Tyrone football or anything of the sort. Sorry if you think its not up to the standard of threads such as Tyrone Super Saves!!!

Well i did say it borderboy, because its relevent to the point i was making, if you cant see that then thats ur problem... Il break it down for you because I dislike ignorance: A tyrone poster told me that they shouldnt worry about improvement, so i pointed out that alex ferguson (the best team manager around and shock, horror, a friend of mickey harte? how could he allow himself to be 'intoxicated'?) won the competition but looked to improve straight away... Ya i see what you mean, totally irrational...
Its clear to me that you knew what I was saying but just looked to pick a hole in the post and could only find an irrelevent point to attack, 'you cant buy players in gaa' give me a break, why even bother?

And there are no 'c's in berbatov, whatever that bit was about...
