I am nearly sure we are talking 1996 but it does not help that the official Tyrone Website does not MENTION hurling. MichaelO (Tyrone) - Posts: 820 - 04/01/2009 01:38:29 172550 Link 0 |

MichaelO, it was serious, but borderboy made a comment which tried to mock a point in my post (funnliy enough, he sided with the ulster side)... And of course refused to actually have an opinion on the matter himself... So i gave him what he deserved TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 04/01/2009 13:40:53 172596 Link 0 |
patrique about the only tyrone team the 4 mcgourtys could get on is the tyrone scor team, but then again an antrim man wouldnt know much about that type of culture unless it involved holding a blunt stick in his hand bigfinger (Tyrone) - Posts: 203 - 04/01/2009 13:41:35 172598 Link 0 |
My Woolworth vouchers clearly state by one get 2 free. One of them boys a liability around any team. No addition to any side RichardCranium (Tyrone) - Posts: 262 - 04/01/2009 14:04:49 172605 Link 0 |
Thank you Michael O, I couldn't find hurling at all on the site, but then my IT skills are possibly deficient. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 04/01/2009 15:53:42 172618 Link 0 |
Kevin McGourty is only challenged by Declkan O'Sullivan at centre half forward. He reminds me of McDonald, wonderful perception and distribution. He can however contest and win high ball at mid-field, unlike any other centre half forward I can think off. Mind you, there is a bit of a dearth in this position at the moment. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 04/01/2009 17:13:14 172648 Link 0 |

Quite a good initial post actually. It does point out that as long as London includes NI as part of its realm, it wouldnt offer such awards to the most successful sportsmen in the country. Accepting such an award is a different matter all together. clearvision (Tyrone) - Posts: 138 - 05/01/2009 09:48:46 172897 Link 0 |
BBC sports personality does brush the votes under the carpet. A fisherman received the most votes ten years or so in a row but never featured in the awards. The other fishermen were simply trying to show that fishing had the 2nd biggest participation after soccer. patrique (Antrim) - Posts: 13709 - 05/01/2009 10:56:31 172928 Link 0 |
dellboy i see your showing your ignorance again - a word of advice if you dont know what your talking about its sometimes best to say nothing. Tyrone did indeed win a special all ireland hurling title the word special was in no way meant to be derogatory. bocerty (Tyrone) - Posts: 539 - 05/01/2009 11:03:50 172935 Link 0 |
Another pointless thread started and contributed to by posters who hate Tyrone and will not change and the idiot element from Tyrone who will always rise to the bait. Sad. Its a new year folks, think of something new to write about. Goodfella, Tir (None) - Posts: 1652 - 05/01/2009 11:11:19 172944 Link 0 |

Ah wind them in Goodfella. Admittedly I started the thread for a bit of mischief and sure enough it took off. But I do not hate Tyrone football or anything of the sort. Sorry if you think its not up to the standard of threads such as Tyrone Super Saves!!! Dubinmeath (Dublin) - Posts: 1123 - 05/01/2009 12:03:30 172998 Link 0 |
Well i did say it borderboy, because its relevent to the point i was making, if you cant see that then thats ur problem... Il break it down for you because I dislike ignorance: A tyrone poster told me that they shouldnt worry about improvement, so i pointed out that alex ferguson (the best team manager around and shock, horror, a friend of mickey harte? how could he allow himself to be 'intoxicated'?) won the competition but looked to improve straight away... Ya i see what you mean, totally irrational... TheMaster (Mayo) - Posts: 16187 - 05/01/2009 12:33:08 173028 Link 0 |
