No New Year honours for Tyrone

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Its a travesty to see that Mickey, Sean, Brian and the rest of the boys have been overlooked in the New Years honours list. The greatest team / manager / forwards / midfielders / supporters / ever and not a gong in sight! Surely Patrique this must be taken up with Gregory as a matter of urgency?

its an old one dubinmeath but its still very funny.considering the absolute arrogance and in some cases stupidity and lack of gaa knowledge in some of the tyrone supporters posts here this will surely send them into a rage. as i said before, tyrone are a great team and have a great coach but their fans are a pretty sickening bunch

Typical of the southern arrogance and sheer dislike of northen teams bein that bit better than our southern counterparts! Its alright lads, mickey and the lads took enough hounours in september and november at the all stars to last us til this september again!

Tyrone: All-Ireland Senior and Minor Football Champions 2008. That's all the honours we need. We care little what people from the small counties, in this case kildare, think

how do you figure pomeroy plunkett that kildare are a small county?if you take a look at your history books you will see that kildare have won 4 all ireland titles...one more than tyrone...maybe you want to talk about provincial titles??in this case kildare have 13 leinster titles...tyrone have 11 ulster titles.maybe you meant population or something??oh no hold on we have that one as well.like i said before i have the height of respact for mickey harte and players like sean cavanagh and brian dooher, tyrone are a great team.when i spoke about sickening tyrone supporters i had the likes of you pomeroy plunkett very much in mind...kildare have a very long and established standing in the gaa, before you make your next outlandish post do some research

Der Bomber, do not be silly.

Kildare with the mighty Larry Stanley and co won those All Ireland's before 2003, therefore they do not count. Actually the first team to receive Sam I believe. But before 2003, so no use.

Now apologise to those Tyrone men. I have already upset them by foolishly pointing out that Antrim's 170 Ulster titles to their 45 suggested that Antrim had a better history than Tyrone. However some 140 or so of those titles were for hurling, which doesn't count, silly me.

as for 6 senior all Ireland camogie titles, not worth mentioning. 6 different clubs in all Ireland club finals, Loughiel winning the hurling title, don't be silly, clubs do not count.

So Der Bomber, you are obviously wrong so should humbly retire from this discussion.

keep dropping the bombs bomber well done.the tyrone posters your on about only started Watching football 03.so maybe you should'nt have a go to much. It's there forefathers i would blame for not educating them about the history of the gaa.May i say one thing it's not fair to throw a countys history in someones face to win an arguement.theres countys in ireland who will probably never win an all ireland and yet there supporters keep following them ,to me these are the real gaa people.

der_bomber thats a very sad post indeed, how can you generalise about the thousands of Tyrone supporters based on the views of a few "rogue" posters who operate under the guise of Tyrone supporters. I think an apology is needed here to save face, what do you say der_bomber?

I should have guessed that our resident "intellectual" patrique would have his tuppence worth, am I to assume then that you too believe that Tyrone supporters are a "sickening" bunch?

Jeez, Tyrone always brought large crowds to matches etc. If you think Tyrone were a blank before 2003, then maybe YOU'RE the one who should be educated.

you know what brentheredhand maybe you are right, obviously i am not calling all tyrone fans a sickening bunch and for the hardcore tyrone fans who follow the team all over the country, the likes of the ones who actually bothered to show up for the westmeath game in omagh, the ones who didn't lower themselves to abusing mickey harte and the ones who actually have an appreciation for gaa history and a good gaa knowledge i apologise.however, the likes of pomeroyplankett i have no respect for, just coming in here to put the boot into other counties and their fans.the fans of really successful gaa counties don't behave like that

thehillontour your absolutely right, there are great gaa people in counties that never experience success and yet they follow their team everywhere.my point is you don't really see cork, kilkenny, dublin or kerry fans lowering themselves to some of the posts that have been posted here by fans from other counties.i suppose they are just so used to success and can be gracious in defeat and in victory
