Huge congratulations to Bronagh on her all star nomination. Im a bit dissapointed that some of the other girls were over looked. I definitely thought Aisling should have got one and possibly Roisin O'Keefe, Christine McCutcheon and Siobhan McGorry too. Best wishes to Bronagh on November 15.

What a coincidence that only 5 players from Killeshandra wanted to play Junior football this year! I know that there were more than this but Arva only wanted the best Killeshandra players so where do these unwanted players go now? They give up football thats the unpleasant fact. In this era of unhealthy living the county board should stop this practice of headhunting between clubs and encourage girls to continue playing.

I am aware that none of the other clubs you mentioned are amalgamations but maybe you are unaware of the Killygarry Butlersbridge amalgamation which was also allowed play in the Junior champ.

The county board let these amalagations happen because they want county players to play club football togethers aswell as county! e.g West Cavan Gaels.

If the county board keep allowing these amalgamations well they should be started off in the Senior Champ where they would play with and against plenty of county players. By putting them in the Junior Champ they are just killing off the spirit in other Junior clubs who are trying to make the break through year after year.

4 star pizza...its very clear you have grudge against Lurgan ladies! What happened...did they give you a hammering during the year!! But on a more serious note, Claragh Reilly is an unbelievable player and is a most deservant candidate for player of the year. Sure what did she score alone in the champioship? As for the rest of Lurgan team (who are senior championship, league and 9 a side winners, and thoroughly deserve to be) there are some amazing footballers aswell. Included here are Emma Mc Dermot who had an unbelievable year for the club, Fiona Murphy, the Hanratty's, midfielders Cole and Cahill and forwards Brady, Farrell and Reilly to mention but a few! In fact the whole team would make the County panel as from what i've seen from them.

Unbelievable players and an unbelievable team taht play for each other... looking forward to watching them in action for Lurgan again next year!

I have to say that claragh reilly is an exceptional football.A very ''natural'' footballer is what see is and if we had a few more lik her in d county we'd be challenging for all ireland 'championship' title..What she has is somethin you cannot teach... only a handful of players in recent years in cavan are like this..... bronagh, ashling doonan, emma clarke...etc.. so i dont think ya can run her down.. i hope she comes into the county next year and proves wat she can do..
As for lurgan been derservin winners???? maybe??? but on the laws of averages says there bound to win it once... i dont think there a better team than they were 2 or 3 years ago.. its just that lacken lost a lot of players durin the summer to america and injury as did knockbride... How they get on next years championship will determine just how good of a team they really are..

Lurgan are true winners and fair play to them! they never make up any excuses when they do lose or blame anyone else bar themselves. they are not sore losers and are not ones to gloat about there wins! they have won the League/championship and 9 a side in one year and they have not got any reconition for this. I hope none of them read the most of the negative comments about individuals or about them as a team.

i didnt actually say that lurgan ladies didnt deserve to win, i merely posed the question! as for Claragh O' Reilly she did play well in a few games this year but if she was that good she would have been on the county...

I agree that Clara Reilly is a very natural talented player, a joy to watch. as if its no bother to her. Why wont she play on the county team?
