Top Notch - In answer to your question, St Finbars are playing Killenkere in Junior Final. All fixtures are on the main page.

Sean - Not sure of the Templeport managers name but i know he has been with them as long as i care to remember. In 4 or 5 five years they have come from an average Junior team in division 3 to division 1 league toppers. Not a bad achievement. I heard they didnt perform at all on saturday evening but they are a young team and im sure they will be back

Sorry Sean, i missed your second question, The Cavan Manager is not involved with any ladies club, i know he was training Templeport Mens team last year, not sure if he is still with them. Its hardly a huge claim to fame either way. I dont think he would be suited to Club management, actually, im not sure if he is suited to county mangament either.

SENIOR: Lacken will win the senior at their ease... they wil beat lurgan in the final... Templeport will give them a good game in the semi final but wont be good enough.

INTERMEDIATE: Very hard to call this but i think if killygarry can get things right they might just pull thro this year.

JUNIOR: I think killenkere will get to final but the winners wil come from the other side of the group.. Impossible to call between ballymachugh, belturbet and st finbars but i think st finbars will get thro and beat killenkere in the final...

I posted that nearly 3 months ago and it lookin fairly good so far.. i have the senior and junior final right anyway and im still stickin wit the results.. but the intermediate is a bit different, i think killygary win be in the final but arva will be very hard beat but ya'd never know

ok marymac i will correct ya... if you look back you'll see that i posted this comment on the 17/07/08................. " I honestly wouldn't lik to predict the knockbride lurgan result..i hear knockbride have a few of their former county players back that they were missin for the whole league..and dont forget knockbride is not an easy place to go and come away wit a victory as lurgan have already found out this year so far... should be thrillin game... i for one will def be there monday evenin to watch it... i think whoever wins this game will win the championship...."
Lurgan went on to win this game easily and won out the championship.... so i dont know why ya think i said west cavan gaels would win it..

Welll done to St Finbarrs on winning Junior champ. Exciting match with a big crowd from both clubs. In my opinion though the player of the match award should have gone to a st finbarrs player. Dont get me wrong the girl from Kilinkere who got it had a very good game and is a lovely player who caused havoc in the first 20 mins of game, but st finbarrs made a come back from being 7 pts down at one stage to winning by 14pts - and there were several players of the match performances to pull that result out of the bag. numbers 11, 12 and 14 in the forward line and the no 3 were definite contenders. St Finbarrs scored 5-8 in the 2nd half, Kilinkere scored 2 goals. The award was a consolation prize for Kilinkere but I would say it was a slight insult to the St Finbarrs club

can people stop posting about the ladies forum until the mens championship is over. it is only taking up valuable space. plenty of time to write about ur nails and ur hair in november/december when the football is over.

In relation to the player of the match in the junior final, i have to disagree with you. I thought the girl that got it deserved it, (apologies, i cant remember her name). I know what you are saying about the finbars forwards been excellent in the second half but in fairness, they were nowhere to be seen in the first half. The award is player of the MATCH, not player of HALF A MATCH. i thought the killenkere no 13 well the best player on the field over the hour.

St Finbars will need to improve alot if they want to make any challenge in Ulster. They were very poor in the first half on friday and some of their big players didnt want to know. With ten minutes left, there was 3 or 4 points in the difference between the two teams and i do believe the scoreline flatters St Finbars. Killenkere were no way 14 points a worse team than finbars.

P.Mus, will you please take your head out of your ***. The standard in the Junior and intermediate finals this weekend was far higher than you would have seen in Breffni park at any senior mens game, and if you want to see a good game next weekend, head to The ladies senior final in Mullahoran. it will be far ahead of the cynical, low scoring, persistent fouling and down right bore that will be on display in breffni

P.mus........ you are so childish! agree with you there cavan_ned!!!
ladies football at the minute is of a far greater quality than the mens in this county anyway! pure...clean..total football with no synical fouling, playing sweepers, handpassing constantly and being afraid to kick the ball, low scoring drab games!
the games which iv saw in breffni this year were just atrocious and not worth the money i paid goin in...!

Well said Cavan Ned and Miwadi. He probably wouldn't know a football from a beachball. It's Small minded people like P m that make it difficult to raise the profile of the fantastic ladies' game. Open your eyes!
