Yes, Lavey are going well in the league but remember that is division 3. Most of the other intermediate teams, except ballyhaise are in division 2. that should give them the edge. personally i cant see anyone stopping Inny gaels, unbeating in the league.

correction Cavan_Ned....Ballyhaise and lavey are infact Division 3 league along with laragh, St.finbarrs, Belturbet. also Inny Gaels are not unbeaten in this years league....they WERE beaten...quite convincingly by Arvagh, the score arvagh 2-17 to inny gaels 1-10..they are more than capable of being stopped!! wouldn put them in the running AT ALL..far better teams in the intermediate....ITS WIDE OPEN this year..IF Arvagh see off Drumgoon i can see them going all the way...

Drumgoon & Ballyhaise will be hard beaten, they both started off badly this year but by the time championship comes round they are always up for the fight. As for inny gaels, they have lots of potential and if they make it through the 1st round will be in with a very good chance of going the whole way. I think the intermediate champ is wide open this year and is anyones for the taking!

Can I ask a question...why?? gowna for intermediate???? re shotstopper.....yes I agree with drumgoon/lavey but come on, no disresspect to gowna at all but there are not the force they use to be...was at the arvagh/gowna league match, and arvagh absolutely destroyed them, firstly I couldn't understand why paula fitz was centre half back, they had no answer to the forward line of arvagh... so why are they continously being mentioned, i think there are better balanced teams in the intermediate champ.... just a thought

Bubbles84.......... your quite obviously from arva??
what about Laragh for junior..... had a bad start to league but id say come championship they'l be in with a chance! but st finbarrs will be no easy oposition,, they very well organised an have a few dangerous forwards!
as for lavey and ballyhaise in division 3.... i dont think it will effect them much! not much of a difference really! although i cant see ballyhaise progressin to far.... very poor this year.. seemed to have lost a few players! gowna are a good team and will b tough oposition for anyone and id give them a outside chance but maybe drumgoon have got the beter of them!
as for senior..... i cant really see past lurgan! they very well organised an have some excellent players.... who will always get them the scores! templeport maybe??

for senior i think its between mullahorn, lurgan and templeport.. these teams have been playing well in the league so far so its anyones game. what about for minor and u16 who do yous think wil win that? minor no teams really stand in this but i think u16 wil be close any opinions??

Miwadi...what makes you think i'm from arvagh??? I can assure you I am NOT from arvagh... I just think this year's champ is wide open for intermediate.... yes I have seen the arvagh/gowna game but as a curious spectator only to see what the diference was this time round as der has always been a considerable gap between the two teams... on paper drumgoon should be favourites having been beaten finalists last year... but on the day its anyones game.. as for junior yes laragh have a team...excellant young ones coming up but to be honest i have a feeling that belturbet will do it dis year, st finbarrs, I dunno

SENIOR: Lacken will win the senior at their ease... they wil beat lurgan in the final... Templeport will give them a good game in the semi final but wont be good enough.

INTERMEDIATE: Very hard to call this but i think if killygarry can get thinks right they might just pull thro this year.

JUNIOR: I think killenkere will get to final but the winners wil come from the other side of the group.. Impossible to call between ballymachugh, belturbet and st finbars but i think st finbars will get thro and beat killenkere in the final...

MINOR:Dont think any1 will stop Knockbride again this year, think they only lost 1 or 2 from their winnin team last year... Erne Valley and templeport will be their biggest challengers but dont think they can beat them..

U-16:Templeport will win this again this year.. they have a lot of last years winnin team stil remainin and have a lot of very good young footballers. Mullahoran and lurgan will be thier biggest challengers..

Must remember tho that the U16 and minor draws have not been made yet...

I genuinely believe the ulster intermediate championship should be scraped. Every year medals are handed out for winning one game. It's a waste of time. Cavan and Fermanagh should compete in either the junior where you would play at least two matches to win or move to senior.
