Well done to arva yesterday evening, great performances from Melissa King really came into her own at wing half back, some fine catches and great deliveries, Ruth and lisa Mulligan and as ever Emma connolly in the forwards! Things seem to be falling into place for the girls!!Hard luck to Gowna weakened without Pierson! Pat9 (Cavan) - Posts: 19 - 16/05/2009 13:08:51 285128 Link 0 |
What a game the arva v gowna game.. went to see it thinking it would be a tight contest but arva were all over gowna i think their a brill team nice style of football there a credit to watch.. ya can really see when the two forwards are back from england they really help lift the spirit in the team whats the names think it lisa and emma.. lisa had a nice game nice sweet left foot on her unlucky with her frees but had nice scores from play and helped score and setup few goals. thats a nice forward line arva have with lisa, emma and dolan think it is in full with the other mulligan out on half forward with flemming. english and gray had good game could have done bit better but not knocking them fantastic effort. king had fantastic set of hands on her yesterday played a stormer. Niamh mc entee the new goalkeeper??? what the story wheres ohara not knocking niamh she few nice saves and good kick out. back line played very well fell asleep in last 10mins but still and all arva wanted the game more and werent going to lose.. hard luck gowna .. i have funny feeling if arva keep this football up they can win the champship. any word has dan leddy taken them on????? if i was him i would jump at the chance.. best of luck arva in the rest of your games hope to see some of your remaining games keep up the good work dan8 (Cavan) - Posts: 1 - 16/05/2009 19:06:56 285309 Link 0 |

RE: Miwadi...gowna for the championship...surely killygarry, inny gaels and arvagh deserve a mention??? did arvagh not beat gowna by a considerable margin in the leagu...I know its not de same but surely its much more open for inter champ than people expect??? well from what iv seen of killygarry and inny gaels this year i dont think they're good enough! havent seen much of arva but i dont think they capable of wining intermediate in their first year! good full forward line but very average players everywhere else in my opinion! miwadi (Cavan) - Posts: 51 - 01/06/2009 19:59:26 298967 Link 0 |
Gowna? I disagree, Its gonna be a tough contest, Arva have a good balance of players in my opinion rather than other teams relying on just one or two players. Lavey will be hard beaten thou. Pat9 (Cavan) - Posts: 19 - 01/06/2009 22:11:19 299086 Link 0 |
fair enough you are definately entitled to your opinion, but heres mine....why wouldn't they win it, didin't gowna after winning junior???? average players, I dunno..yes every team has them but arvagh have shown they do not rely on 1 or 2 players to carry them through. yes they have a good full forward line but I have to say the younger of the two mulligans is very underrated if you ask me. plus they have a sound backline with daly, king, mulligan to name a few, so to call them very average players, i feel is a bit unfair..... as with every team there is a few weak spots. definately...intermediate is wide open, there are no clear cut favourites.....as with all championship games...its who wants it most on the day Bubbles84 (Cavan) - Posts: 44 - 02/06/2009 13:10:49 299528 Link 0 |
