Ballyhack I am under-21 but was never at any trials and just have an interest in whats going on....... And to be honest from what very limited knowledge I have of whats going on with Wexford and Kildare (I'm in college up there) I'd fancy Kildare........ The guilt is in your reaction. Not all posters may be players but it definitely looks dodge. Wexford got to an All Ireland Senior Football semi final and there is quarter the talk maybe even a tenth. The hurlers are the best followed are they're never mentioned. Ballyhack (Wexford) - Posts: 34 - 31/01/2009 00:43:12 194711 Link 0 |
Good point Shnailer, but Nearly every player in wexford worth their salt was invited to trials at before the start of the year. Numerous players who I regard as poor club players had a trial. From the names I saw it seems that the selectors are only interested in lads who can run and lift weights, as apposed to skillful players who can spot a pass and kick a point. Its the skillful players who will eventually make it at Senior and improve our county teams. The 'athletes' shud concentrate on rugby or Aussie Rules because they are not wanted in our game. Christy's startin at full-back,that's a strange one but i'm delighted to see a fellow Mary's man startin, woulda thought Paul woulda started him at midfield but Paul knows best Duffy89 (Wexford) - Posts: 3320 - 07/02/2009 21:17:39 200948 Link 0 |
Best of luck against kildare, lads. I hope we can pogress in the championship because i think there are some more players around who would strenghthen the panel. yellabelly (Wexford) - Posts: 1062 - 07/02/2009 21:58:44 200975 Link 0 |
one of the poorest wexford teams ever to tog out at this grade. if they get bet by les than 15 points it will be an achievement. theclawhammer (Wexford) - Posts: 240 - 08/02/2009 00:21:22 201017 Link 0 |

Strange how there are guys on the bench who were on the panel last year. Can I ask if there is a Peter's backbone to that team? Certainly not many Good Counsel guys on it. icehonesty (Wexford) - Posts: 2581 - 15/02/2009 13:35:57 207192 Link 0 |
Ders 3 ex peters on de team which is mainly enniscorthy and gorey district if anything. Wat ex counsel players do you feel should have started icehonesty? ricky (None) - Posts: 86 - 15/02/2009 19:13:05 207384 Link 0 |
If this team played football like they post messages about themselves on this board, they might come close to winning a match. spice21 (USA) - Posts: 84 - 15/02/2009 19:52:19 207439 Link 0 |
I think my point about the players posting here proved correct. Why would one of the poorest teams EVER to represent Wexford attract so many postings from Wexford GAA fans. Some of you lot would want to concentrate more on playing football before you start talking trash on here. It was embarassing to look at that yesterday. Ballyhack (Wexford) - Posts: 34 - 15/02/2009 21:38:54 207586 Link 0 |
The reason I've posted about this so many times is because it was so obvious what was goin to happen and this is not hindsight look back a few pages and I was saying this all along The whole thing was just given lip-service. The reason its annoyed me so much is because we were in a Leinster final last year and a senior semi-final and still the county board couldn't give a toss Whether its right or wrong its well known every other county has been training since November at the latest with Dublin another month earlier. Been in college in Kildare they had their panel picked by Novemeber while we have trials around New Years. Most people reading this probably know who I am so I wn't get personal but theres so many better footballers in the county than what played yesterday........ I know many didn't go to trials but if the management knew their stuff they would have been chasing these players (and I'm not talking about myself!!!) I think Ter Kelly from HWH Bunclody should have been brought in to the Co. u21 panel!! He is an outstanding footballer and has a magnificent attitude!!! MadraRua (Wexford) - Posts: 15 - 16/02/2009 12:24:24 208039 Link 0 |
