Personly I tink the teem award shud go too Tirone or Kilkeny and not Munstir. Rember that Munstir hav six countys palying for them but Tirone and Kilkeny only hav one. I know they are too difrint gams but I dont tink Limrick wud win the Hinickin Cup or evin Cork or evin Kerry on there owin. It just dosint mak sens.

I see a lot of argueing about Munster as team of the year. No. Winning a competition comprising of Three states ie Ireland,UK and France with the odd token team from Italy is far from being a European cup. Now soccer have proper European competitions. Various other sports also.

I dont see how Padraig Harrington can be considered a great sportsman considering the sport he plays. I know he is very good at it but he is now 37 and onlt reaching his peak now.
I cant think of any other sport that requires less athetlic ability apart from the pub sports.
At best it has to be considered a passtime and a very boring one at that.

Sports person of the year: Katie Taylor

Obiously don't play golf then do you, my view has to be one of the most skilful games you can play..... after hurling that is. It's taken harrington 30 odd years working on his game to get him were he is now as he would be the first to admit he's not a natural like say tiger woods.

Re Hag and Cheese

Your dead right I dont play golf I also dont play "watch the piant dry"

Thats being a little unfair I know golf is skillful but so is darts, poker, shooting and a whole host of other actvities that try and masquerade as sports.

Now I know that technically speaking these activities are called sports but lets save our sporting accolades for the greatest athletes.
