im not a trouble maker and i do kno wat im talking about i kno alot of the headford lads and they are some of the sounds lads around i jus dont agree with the hype being spoken about them! my predictions are for the league i think it'l be 1.corofin 2.tuam 3.claregalway 4.annaghdown 5.headford 6.ballinasloe! for championship depending on the draw it wil be a scrap between tuam and claregalway to face corofin in the final with maybe annaghdown being dark horse's if they can produce some big performances! i think if headford or ballinasloe meet either corofin, tuam or claregalway it'l be first round exits, headford may have a chance against annaghdown and are certainly capable of beating ballinasloe... ur opinions northern?? joyce.11 (Galway) - Posts: 20 - 02/02/2009 17:12:54 196168 Link 0 |
gaillimh abu coming out with a comment that headford are terrible is just childish. Come the league you can say wat ever u like whether good or bad about any team but making comments like that before a ball has been kicked is stupid and joyce 11 you started this rubbish by arguing that headford were in A. So you started it now just finish it you child hydro (Galway) - Posts: 41 - 02/02/2009 21:55:38 196404 Link 0 |

now we are talking joyce.11. i know alot of the headford lads aswel and they reckon they will compete hard for third spot in the league and a place in the shield final. i think it will definately be a corofin, claregalway top two though. id also say its a safe bet that tuam and headford will beat ballinasloe and annaghdown. dont forget that mountbellew and monivea might be up with us aswel.it will definately be a strongly contested division in the coming season. northern (Galway) - Posts: 74 - 04/02/2009 00:47:35 197558 Link 0 |

id have to agree for the most part. tuam, corofin and claregalway will definately make the semi finals. the annaghdown v monivea game is 50:50 though. northern (Galway) - Posts: 74 - 04/02/2009 14:19:57 197983 Link 0 |
Are Tuam very strong? Ballinasloe are prob looking to build on U16 success in C&B but it is a big step up for them. captaincajun (Galway) - Posts: 54 - 04/02/2009 18:55:30 198338 Link 0 |

captaincajun id agree on ur assessment of ballinasloe. they had a top class u16 team last year but A this year might be a step too far. their delegates at the north board meeting were very unhappy with the decision to put them up this year. they said next year would be no problem but this is a year too early and that if they get some heavy beatings it could turn lads off playing next year. northern (Galway) - Posts: 74 - 05/02/2009 00:21:20 198611 Link 0 |
go to scholl with some claregalway lads and i know they are missing ther goalie and midfielder and fullforward for the start of season with injurys. also corofin team is in fully fit condition and i believ are the best team around tony_melia (Galway) - Posts: 81 - 05/02/2009 20:03:37 199497 Link 0 |

ive been flickin thru these messages and i noticed talk of minor west,my opinion is dat is more direct football and betta 2 watch dan the north,im very fond of connemara teams espicially leitir moir and carroroe. .. .they are so much mre phyiscal than ne other teams ....i espicially like leitir moir because of there 6 big players in my opinion...eanna keane(the most underrated player in minors galway),ciarian ogriofa(gos into tings grown men wud neva),tommy murphy(great in the air),declan mcdonagh(unbeleavable football mind and great vision idel attacking midfielder),john walsh( very fast and very strong, fullback material)they should walk thru 2 championship final 4 b!!! galwayspector09 (Galway) - Posts: 1 - 10/02/2009 16:30:17 203322 Link 0 |
