kilkerrin clonberne deserved to beat headford i managed to make it into the whole game (my club were also playing after it) and the were the better team throughout. Heard that they were also unlucky not to win the first game with headford in dunmore. according to knowledge they arent going to miss too many of last years players id give them a good chance they've 3 on the county panel and ive heard good things about them from the lads involved.

Infinity be my understanding kilkerrin were lucky to even get a replay. they got a goal in the last minute of that particular game and headford were much the stronger team.

ah that corofin team are very good, just cg have been that bit stronger than them over the years.

the way i see it is there will be 3 good matches this year. cg and corofin in the north board, kilanin and james' in the west board. tuam may push cg or corofin but wont beat them, mb have some classy fowards but again couldnt realisticly seeing them handle the sweeneys or the likes of o connel duane and elwood.. And ofcourse the final

headford and ballinasloe are a decent B teams but there out of their depth in A i cant see them competing at any level against likes of corofin, cg and even tuam. i think monivea and mountbelleuw are better teams and would have made the A alot more competitive!

gaaok01, 2 name headford as one of the strongest teams is a joke and an insult to the rest of the teams in A!

joyce11 you havent a clue what you are talking about. i was talking to one of the headford lads at the trials on saturday and he said they finished top of the B league at u16 and bet both mountbellew and monivea/abbey so you couldnt be more wrong. we played them in a challenge game out in headford that year and they looked very good.time will tell though. ethan mannion will be a big loss for us.

northern maybe your right but headford been called one of the strongest teams in A is ridiculous. i stil cant see them competing with the big teams!

how can you say they have proved they can beat the so called big teams?? this is the first time this team will play in A! challange matchs are one thing but championship is a different story altogether.

the ranking in A would go in this order- Claregalway, Corofin, Headford, Tuam Stars, Annaghdown, Ballinasloe. However time will tell. I think ourselves, headford and ananghdown are all capable of beating each other. it would be a surprise if any of us take a point off the big two though. ballinasloe im afraid are looking at a rough season.
