Well what did ye make of the draw?
Some are hard to call.

Barna V Annaghdown - Annaghdown, wont be a great game to watch i reckon
M.Breatchnach v Tuam stars - tough one to call,should be a good game- Tuam to win but just about
Milltown V Salthill- Armstrong to clean up id say, salthill to win fairly handy
Killererin V Moycullen - its still hard to beat the joyces,
Caltra V Claregalway - Caltra to win
Brendan V Glenamady - prob a draw, dont know enough about either team
Mountbellew v Caherlistrane - you'd have to fancy the quelly's
Carraroe v Corofin - Corofin to win

I think the Breatchnach v Tuam and Killererin v Moycullen will be crackers..

The Winners on to the next round, in my opinnion;

BARNA, TUAM-STARS, MILLTOWN, MOYCULLEN, CALTRA, ST. BRENDANS, CAHERLISTRANE, CARRAROE;

Very interesting ties; MB V TUAM, CARRAROE V CORROFFIN..Should be two crackers;

The best way to take a few bob's off the bookies, is defnitley the Carraroe V Corrofin game; Will be backing Carraroe at generous odds; If I wanted a double, I would double up with Moycullen to beat Killererin; Two underdogs against the two favourites, great odds;

Bearna v Annaghdown-Annaghdown comfortably.
Michael Breathnachs v Tuam Stars-MBs with a few to spare.
Milltown v Salthill-Knocknacarra-Salthill to pull through.
Killererin v Moycullen-Moycullen easily.
Caltra v Claregalway-Claregalway to nick it AET.
St Brendans v Glenamaddy-Who cares, this was the only chaance either had of making the next round!
Mountbellew-Moylough v Caherlistrane-Caherlistrane to scrape through.
An Cheathru Rua v Corofin-Corofin to grind out a result. Wont be easy though!

Claregalway dont ave a notion of beatin caltra! Caltra have to be takin into real contention!!! shane hogan back on form micheal meehan nd micheal kelly all in the fullforward line which wud be good enuf for a county team!!! milltown cud scrape by salthill!! milltown will be goin in as underdogs which will suit dem! but ave a few injury concerns up front! moycullen ta beat killererin! corofin ta scrap threw! nd caherlistrane ta win it out!!!

The smart money is on Caherlistrane . At 9/1! That's great odds altogether.

Milltown are the most improved team from last year. However, with Michael Donnellan expected to start for Salthill they are going to have to dig very deep to get through. Corofin are going to find it hard to make the final this year as it is such a big ask after getting so far in 2008. The loss of a county player will prove a bridge too far for killererin who should see off Moycullen though. Caherlistrane will not make it past Mountbellew I think and they will certainly not be involved in latter stages. Tuam are the most over-rated team in the championship. Caltra are the team to put money on now. Well balanced, well managed, a great keeper and the best Forward in the country.

Does anyone agree with the last post about Caltra? I feel that their goods days are behind them and they have never really recovered from Noel Meehan having to retire. Kevin Gavin is also a huge loos as I hear he has not returned this year.
Good to hear Shane Hogan is back but he has to be still off the pace of Champ football. Mountbellew will get better as the champ goes on and I fancy them to go far.
