Is it true a few ballinasloe players r lost to soccer? Dey had a gud minor team a few years back played against my club in champ and played some very good open football and bet us well to be honest. R many of dat team stil playin football. Wud be a pity for any club to loose dem but especially b'sloe. Id like to see Glynsk do well for the area but cant see it to be honest.

West Board Referees
Is it me or is it that there is a cricis with west Board referees. My God but most of the ones refeering finals & semis are in their late 50's or indeed early 60's. In any other walk of life these lads ( iuse this term loosly) would have their feet up enjoying their retirement. But not in the West Board these lads are getting all the plum games even senior county league games. The 2008 season had a lot of controversy for example, Na Piarsaigh v Salthill, Carraroe V Claregalway, Spiddle v Aran as well as a few more. The common theme connecting all these games is that they were officiated by somebody that wasn't in the best of physical condition. Now you could argue that there is a shortage of referees but if that is the case then why aren't the young referees getting the glamour ties? These lads are left with the under age midweek games, no wonder then that they become dissalusioned and retire ( Rico).

Salthill will win it...they have a stronger junior squad this season i hear. Spiddal will also be in with a shout - no one else.

The return of Mikey D to junior ranks should be a big plus i would have thought!! As regard, staying senior - laughable comment. jimmy will have them in great shape

Salthill/Knocknacarra will have a very strong Junior team. Heard that Michael Donnellan, Maurice Sheridan will be playing Junior this year.

Salthill/Knocknacarra beat Spiddal at Junior A last year with a team that never once trained together so a bit of common sense would be good.

How many players have Salthill regraded? Im sure Mickey D could still play senior.
