Don't take too much from Salthill / Knocknacarra's League victory against An Spideal as they were missing 9 players ( Salthill were missing 6)
Still a good victory but An Spideal will be a different outfit in the Championship and congrats to Arainn on winning the Comortas. Does anyone know if there are any Junior A league games this weekend?

Arainn definite favourites to go up intermediate this year. they won the comortas and they'll win the west championship easily enough i'd say. the only obstacle i think will be headford in the north. this has to be their year!!

Arainn
Arainn are flying at the moment but so what? They were in the same position for the last 2 years. Rico is turning out to be a superb appointment , but lets wait and see what they are like in September. It seems to me that they have only one gear and that is all out running. What happens when they meet a team that can match them with fitness? Have they the know how to overcome a tight marking team ? Have they the bottle? I hpe that they have because they would be a superb addition to the Intermediate league. Me prediction is Spiddle to beat them in the West.

I'd expect B'sloe to beat Kilconnell at the weekend. I wonder will Damien Joyce be lining out, could be a different game if he is playing. It's a big turnaround from a few years ago when Joyce was playing for B'sloe in a Senior QFinal.

If Na Piarsaigh had some of the lads that left for other countrys they would be a serious team

B'sloe's defence looked rock solid. Very impressed with the half back line in particular. Liam lynch looks county standard but the forwards arent the best and might struggle against a better defence.

Id have to agree with you, 3-11 would not win you many games!!

Its one thing scoring 3-11 against Gabriels and another against a good defence. The first goal was a point effort that went over the goalies head,
Another came from a ball that hopped over the corner back. You don't get those breaks against good teams Captain, wake up!!
