star21 saying as your obviously from the point how could you not beat a div 3 team in the championship?? we were a totally different team when we ngot relegated last year! and if maybe your players had of concentrated on beating bandbridge rather than players playing soccer we may have stayed up!!

i see no surprise then in who is being called back for U21 trials. typical down football does not matter how well you play if your surname or club doesnt suit then you've no chance. management going through the motions like every other year, quite obviously that team was picked long ago.

star21. i went on to the tyrone page to gauge what they thought of sunday not to read a down person ranting on about the poor quality of the all ireland champions. are you for real? this is the county that all the others are modeling themselves on and you go on slating them! if nothing else have a little respect for youself

make as much as you like out of the win. but take into account all of the conditions of the win. i was as happy as anyone that we got a win against tyrone, but it was a mckenna cup not like the last time we beat them when we could gloat a bit.

star21 - u hav no suport from ne1 in Down 4 the coments u made on the Tyrone page - u must hav a very limited football knowledge if u think that McKenna cup game is anything 2 go by. Firstly i will point out that Tyrone have had absolutely no training sesssions nd Down in my view even at this erly stage are not too far off der peak fitness so in my view come the important Sundays in June July August and September i think, unfortunatly Down wil not b in the reckoning.

My prediction is Tyrone for Ulster and All- Ireland

noddy - i am fortunate 2 b in a position very close 2 da Down U-21 team nd i can assure u that ur comments are untrue - not least because the team hasnt even been picked yet. Like your name your comment is of cartoon standard

It just seemed like the usual old Down set up at the trials last saturday. The trials were held in Dundrum,a pitch which has a wind even wen nowere else in the county does and wen there was high winds everywere else on sat u can imagine the conditions at the pitch. The football was not 2 a high standard and no1 cud come away fom the trials saying they played good or bad. The players 4 the final trial were picked before the trial and it seems that Down county management teams continue to go on reputation and word of mouth rather than footballing ability.

Ok ladies, this page is for your opinion on this years U21's not to discuss weather a win is a win of wht not, wise up! U21's this year, lookin prosperous, Gavin Joyce is an obvious pic in nets lad, Gordan is good but i think joyer will get the nod, The two oreillys will defo be there aswell. But the big loss in Chris Killen of An Riocht, he away to australlia for a few months. Also is Jam,es Colgan still in the mix or what?

disagree with joyce being a cert for nets.. if the rumours are true gordan lined out for the mckenna cup game against monaghan, then it only makes sense he will start for the u21s.... mayeb im slighty biased being from loughinisland...
